''Miss Marx'' is a 2020 Biographical film, biographical period drama film about Eleanor Marx, written and directed by Susanna Nicchiarelli. A co-production between Italy and Belgium, this English-language film stars Romola Garai as Marx and Patrick Kennedy (actor), Patrick Kennedy as her lover Edward Aveling. Susanna Nicchiarelli
Susanna Nicchiarelli (; born 6 May 1975) is an Italian director, actress and screenwriter. Biography Nicchiarelli graduated in Philosophy at the Sapienza University in Rome and gained a PhD in Philosophy at the Scuola Normale in Pisa and a Directing degree at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in 2004. After having written and directed many short films and documentaries, her first film ''Cosmonaut'' was acclaimed at the 2009 Venice Film Festival and gained her a nomination as Best New Director for the David di Donatello Awards and the Nastri d'Argento Awards, while her second film, '' Discovery at Dawn'', based on the book by Walter Veltroni was presented at the 2012 Rome Film Festival. Eleanor Marx
Jenny Julia Eleanor Marx (16 January 1855 – 31 March 1898), sometimes called Eleanor Aveling and known to her family as Tussy, was the English-born youngest daughter of Karl Marx. She was herself a socialist activist who sometimes worked as a literary translator. Olive Schreiner (24 March 1855 – 11 December 1920) was a South African author, pacifist, anti-war campaigner and intellectual. Helene Demuth
Helene Demuth (31 December 1820 – 4 November 1890) was a German housekeeper who worked for Jenny and Karl Marx, and later served as the household manager and political confidante of Friedrich Engels. Biography Helena Demuth was born of peasant parents on 31 December 1820 in Sankt Wendel in today's Saarland. In 1840 Helena and her older sister worked in Trier as maids, Helena in von Westphalen household, her sister in the house of a soapmaker two blocks away. They only worked there for about a year, then Katharina got pregnant and both went back to St. Wendel. In 1843 Helena lived in St. Wendel in the house of her mother in Grabenstrasse. John Gordon Sinclair
John Gordon Sinclair (born Gordon John Sinclair; 4 February 1962) is a Scottish actor, voice actor, singer, and novelist. He is best known for portraying Gregory in the 1981 film ''Gregory's Girl''. ''A Doll's House'' (Danish and nb, Et dukkehjem; also translated as ''A Doll House'') is a three-act play written by Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen. It premiered at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 21 December 1879, having been published earlier that month. The play is set in a Norwegian town circa 1879.
