The Miss Indiana competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Indiana in the Miss America Pageant. Elizabeth Hallal of Georgetown was crowned Miss Indiana 2022 on June 18, 2022 at STAR Bank Performing Arts Center in Zionsville. She competed for the title of Miss America 2023 at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut where she placed in the Top 7 along with winning a Preliminary Talent award. Miss USA
Miss USA is an American beauty pageant that has been held annually since 1952 to select the entrant from United States in the Miss Universe pageant. The Miss Universe Organization operated both pageants, as well as Miss Teen USA, until 2020, when the organization announced it was licensing operation of the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants to Crystle Stewart, Miss USA for 2008. The pageant was owned by Donald Trump from 1996 to 2015 and was previously broadcast on NBC. In September 2015, WME/IMG purchased the pageant from Trump. In 2020, for the first time, the FYI network broadcast the competition. In October 2022, JKN Global Group acquired the pageant from WME/IMG. Kelly Lloyd
Kelly Lloyd (born 1977 in Indianapolis) is an American model, consultant, attorney, and former beauty queen who has competed in the Miss Teen USA, Miss USA and Miss America pageants. She is one of only six women who have competed in these three pageants, and is known as a ''Triple Crown'' winner. Lloyd's first pageant title was Miss Indiana Teen USA 1993. She represented her state in the Miss Teen USA 1993 pageant broadcast live from Biloxi, Mississippi on August 10, 1993 and placed first runner-up. The pageant was won by Charlotte Lopez of Vermont. Lloyd also won the Most Beautiful Eyes award. Lloyd started competing in the Miss America system in 1996 when she won the Miss Central Indiana title. Miss America 2016, the 89th Miss America pageant, was held at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Sunday, September 13, 2015. Miss Indiana's Outstanding Teen
The Miss Indiana's Teen competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the U.S. state of Indiana in the Miss America's Teen pageant. Keegan Connor of Westfield was crowned Miss Indiana's Outstanding Teen on June 17, 2022 at the Zionsville Performing Arts Center in Zionsville, Indiana. She will compete for the title of Miss America's Teen 2024 in January 2024. In January of 2023, the official name of the pageant was changed from Miss Indiana’s Outstanding Teen, to Miss Indiana’s Teen, in accordance with the national pageant. Pittsboro, Indiana
Pittsboro is a town in Middle Township, Hendricks County, Indiana, United States. The population was 2,928 at the 2010 Census, up from 1,588 at the 2000 census. By 2018 the estimated population was 3,480. History The town of Pittsboro was founded on December 9, 1834, by Simon T. Hadley and Wiliam L. Matlock. The town was named "Pittsborough" in honor of Hadley's home in North Carolina. The spelling was later changed to "Pittsboro". On April 6, 1906, an election was held for incorporation of the town. The result of the election was 83 favorable and 38 opposed. After incorporation came many infrastructure improvements and new services. Miss America 2018 was the 91st Miss America pageant, though the Miss America Organization celebrated its 97th anniversary in 2017. This discrepancy is due to no national pageants being held from 1928-1932 or in 1934 because of financial problems associated with the Great Depression. The 2018 pageant was held in Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Sunday, September 10, 2017. This was the first Miss America pageant to be held in Atlantic City since the Miss America Organization headquarters relocated to Boardwalk Hall. Miss Indiana USA
The Miss Indiana USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Indiana in the Miss USA pageant and the name of the title held by those representatives. This pageant is currently produced by Crown Moxie. The pageant is currently held in Noblesville and has previously been hosted by Anderson, Michigan City, Indianapolis, Carmel and Fort Wayne. The most recent placement was Alexis Lete in 2020, who finished 3rd runner-up. Nine Miss Indiana USA winners have previously held the Miss Indiana Teen USA title and competed at Miss Teen USA and three previously competed in other states (Florida, Georgia and Virginia).
