Miss Grand Philippines
Miss Grand Philippines is a female national beauty pageant in the Philippines, launched in 2014 by John Dela Vega, who was also the founder of the "Hause of JDV", one of the country's most recognized pageant training camps. The winner of the contest represents the country at its parent international platform, Miss Grand International. In cooperation with the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI), some national finalists of the Binibining Pilipinas pageant were assigned to participate in the Miss Grand International pageant in 2013 and 2015. In 2016, the competition license was transferred to BPCI. Under the supervision of BPCI, from 2016 to 2022, majority of Filipino representatives at the Miss Grand International pageant were directly determined through the Binibining Pilipinas contest, except for the 2020 season, wherein the runner-up of the previous edition was appointed to participate. A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. SM Mall Of Asia Arena
The SM Mall of Asia Arena, also known as the Mall of Asia Arena or the MoA Arena, is an indoor arena within the SM Mall of Asia complex, in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Miss Grand Philippines 2023 was the 2nd edition of the Miss Grand Philippines pageant, held at SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay on July 13, 2023. At the end of the event, Miss Grand Philippines 2022 Roberta Tamondong crowned Nikki de Moura of Cagayan de Oro as Miss Grand Philippines 2023. She went on to represent the Philippines at the Miss Grand International pageant, which was held on October 25, 2023 at the Phú Thọ Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Other titles were also given in this edition of the pageant. Miss Grand Philippines 2014
Miss Grand Philippines 2014 was the inaugural edition of the Miss Grand Philippines pageant, held at the GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center located in the University of the Philippines Asian Center, Quezon City, Metro Manila. Nineteen candidates from different provinces of the country competed for the title, and a 19-year-old Filipino-Swedish from Oriental Mindoro, Kimberly Karlsson, was announced the winner, while the representative of Surigao del Sur, Rosevemme Fajardo, and a candidate from Tarlac, Mary Theresa Erna Gomez, were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Miss World Philippines is a beauty pageant in the Philippines that selects the country's representatives to the Miss World, one of the Big Four international beauty pageants. The pageant also selects four other representatives to participate in minor international pageants such as Miss Supranational, Reina Hispanoamericana, and Miss Eco International.
