Miss Earth Austria
Miss Earth Austria is a national Beauty pageant in Austria which was founded in 2011. It is responsible for selecting the country's representative to Miss Earth, which is an annual international beauty pageant promoting environmental awareness. Miss Earth Austria also tackles environmental and humanitarian issues and serves to promote environmental awareness and social thinking. In 2019 Melanie Gassner Kleinitzer became Miss Earth Austria National Director. She is also the 2019's titleholder. Beauty Pageant
A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. The term beauty pageant refers originally to the Big Four international beauty pageants. Pageant titles are subdivided into Miss, Mrs. or Ms., and Teen – to clearly identify the difference between pageant divisions. Hundreds and thousands of beauty contests are held annually, but the Big Four are considered the most prestigious, widely covered and broadcast by media. Miss Earth 2019
Miss Earth 2019, the 19th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on October 26, 2019, at Okada Manila in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines where Nguyễn Phương Khánh of Vietnam was succeeded by Nellys Pimentel of Puerto Rico at the end of the event. This marks the first time Puerto Rico has won Miss Earth, becoming the first territory to win at least once in all of the Big Four international beauty pageants. In the same event, other elemental winners were also crowned: Emanii Davis of the United States won Miss Earth – Air, Klára Vavrušková of the Czech Republic as Miss Earth – Water, and Alisa Manyonok of Belarus as Miss Earth – Fire.
