Beauty Pageant
A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. The term beauty pageant refers originally to the Big Four international beauty pageants. Pageant titles are subdivided into Miss, Mrs. or Ms., and Teen – to clearly identify the difference between pageant divisions. Hundreds and thousands of beauty contests are held annually, but the Big Four are considered the most prestigious, widely covered and broadcast by media. Miss Earth 2008
Miss Earth 2008, the 8th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on November 9, 2008, at the Clark Expo Amphitheater in Angeles City, Philippines. Eighty-five delegates arrived from 19 October 2008 in Philippines. The pageant was broadcast live via ABS-CBN and coverage since on Studio 23 in the Philippines and other stations throughout the world. Jessica Trisko of Canada crowned her successor Karla Henry of Philippines the end of the event. Dayanna Grageda
Dayanna Grageda (born 5 March 1992) is a Bolivian-Australian environmental advocate, model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Earth Australia 2015 and later that year won the international title of Miss Earth Air 2015. Dayanna holds the highest recorded placement for both an Australian and an ethnically Bolivian beauty queen in Miss Earth history. Miss Earth 2015 Dayanna joined the Miss Earth Australia pageant in 2015 and won the national Australian title of Miss Earth Australia 2015. She then went onto compete in the international Miss Earth 2015 pageant held in Vienna, Austria on 5 December 2015. Mascot is a suburb in the Inner-South of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Miss Earth 2011
Miss Earth 2011, the 11th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on December 3, 2011 at the University of the Philippines Theater, inside the campus of the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City, Philippines. Nicole Faria of India crowned her successor Olga Álava of Ecuador at the end of the event. The show was aired live by Channel V at 8:00 pm, while Star World broadcast on Sunday, 4 December at 6:00 pm, ABS-CBN and Studio 23 broadcast on the same day at 10:30 pm. There was also a delayed telecast of the show on The Filipino Channel and on the television stations of other participating countries. Miss Earth 2010, the 10th anniversary of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on 4 December 2010 at the Vinpearl Land Amphitheater in Nha Trang, Vietnam.
