Miss Chitwan
Miss Chitwan is a beauty pageant which began in 1994 for the girls of Central Development Region. Miss Chitwan has been organized by Bright Nepal since the start and has been paving the way to the field of professional modelling and direct entry to the national beauty pageants like Miss Nepal. History The pageant has been run by Bright Nepal. Anupa Giri was crowned as the first Miss Chitwan 1994, and ended up as third runner-up in the Miss Chitwanl 1994 beauty pageant. Only Shristi Shrestha has clinched the Miss Nepal crown in 2012, so far being the only Miss Chitwan to win the crown of Miss Nepal. Miss Chitwan has the third highest number of placements after Miss Kathmandu and Miss Pokhara in Miss Nepal pageant and is ranked third-highest among regional contests in terms of placements. Hidden Treasures Fanta Miss Nepal 2014, the 17th Miss Nepal beauty pageant was held on 2 May 2014 at the Nepal Academy Hall in Kathmandu. Miss Nepal 2013 Ishani Shrestha crowned her successor as Miss Nepal World 2014, who will represent Nepal at Miss World 2014 with 1st runner up as Miss Nepal Earth 2014 sent to Miss Earth 2014 and 2nd runner up as Miss Nepal International 2014 to Miss International 2014. Miss Earth 2011, the 11th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on December 3, 2011 at the University of the Philippines Theater, inside the campus of the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City, Philippines. Nicole Faria of India crowned her successor Olga Álava of Ecuador at the end of the event. The show was aired live by Channel V at 8:00 pm, while Star World broadcast on Sunday, 4 December at 6:00 pm, ABS-CBN and Studio 23 broadcast on the same day at 10:30 pm. There was also a delayed telecast of the show on The Filipino Channel and on the television stations of other participating countries. Miss World 2012, the 62nd edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 18 August 2012 at Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China. 116 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown.
