Mishaal Bin Majid Al Saud
Mishaal bin Majid Al Saud ( ar, الأمير مشعل بن ماجد بن عبد العزيز آل سعود) (born 1957) has been governor of Jeddah since 1997 and a member of House of Saud. Early life and education Mishaal bin Majid was born in Riyadh in 1957. His family moved to Jeddah in 1971. His father is Majid bin Abdulaziz, a son of King Abdulaziz and a full-brother of Prince Sattam. The mother of Prince Mishaal is Nouf bint Abdallah Al Fahd Al Muhanna. Prince Mishaal is full brother of Prince Abdulaziz and has also five sisters. One of his sisters, Jawaher bint Majid, is the first Saudi woman to have been granted the title of the patron of arts in Saudi Arabia. Another, Basma bint Majid, married Bandar bin Faisal, one of King Faisal's sons. Jeddah ( ), also spelled Jedda, Jiddah or Jidda ( ; ar, , Jidda, ), is a city in the Hejaz region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the country's commercial center. Okaz
''Okaz'' ( ar, عكاظ) is an Arabic Saudi Arabian daily newspaper located in Jeddah. The paper was launched in 1960 and its sister publication is ''Saudi Gazette''. The paper is simultaneously printed in both Riyadh and Jeddah and has offices all over Saudi Arabia. However, the daily mainly serves the provinces of the Hejaz and Asir. As of 2012 Abdullah Saleh Kamel was the chairman of the board of directors of the Okaz Organization for Press and Publication. Lawrence Wright of ''The New Yorker'' states that ''Okaz'' is "like an Arabic version" of the ''New York Post''.
