Miroslav Varga
Miroslav Varga (born 21 September 1960 in Žatec) is a shooting sport, sport shooter and Olympic champion for Czechoslovakia. He won a gold medal in the 50 metre rifle prone event at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. He represented the Czech Republic at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Shooting sports is a group of competitive sport, competitive and recreational sporting activities involving proficiency tests of accuracy, precision and speed in shooting — the art of using ranged weapons, mainly small arms (firearms and airguns, in forms such as handguns, rifles and shotguns) and bow and arrow, bows/crossbows.
