Miroslav Beránek
Miroslav Beránek (born 24 April 1957) is a Czech football coach who was most recently the manager of the Slavia Prague. As a player, he played over 100 matches as a defender for Slavia Prague in the 1980s. Coaching career Beránek took charge of Slavia Prague in the 1994–95 season. After managing Chmel Blšany in the Czech First League, he returned for a second spell at Slavia, where he won the 2001–02 Czech Cup. As coach of the Czech Republic U21 team, he won the 2002 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship. He has also coached several Czech clubs and worked abroad in Hungary, the United Arab Emirates and Kazakhstan. Beránek returned to manage Slavia in 2014 following 11 years away from the club. Benešov (; german: Beneschau; also known as Benešov u Prahy) is a town in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 16,000 inhabitants. UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2002 was the 13th staging of UEFA's European Under-21 Championship. The final tournament was hosted by Switzerland between 16 and 28 May 2002. Czech Republic U-21s won the competition for the first time. Qualification The 47 national teams were divided into nine groups (one group of four + five groups of 5 + three groups of 6). The Nemzeti Bajnokság (, "National Championship"), also known as NB I, is the top level of the Hungarian football league system. The league is officially named OTP Bank Liga after its title sponsor OTP Bank. UEFA currently ranks the league 28th in Europe. Twelve teams compete in the league, playing each other three times, once at home, once away, and the third match is played at the stadium that the last match was not played at. The Czech Cup ( cs, Pohár FAČR), officially known as the MOL Cup for sponsorship reasons, is the major men's football cup competition in the Czech Republic. It is organised by the Czech Football Association. The Czech Cup was first held in 1961. The winner would then face the winner of the Slovak Cup in the Czechoslovak Cup final. The Czech National Football League ( cs, Fotbalová národní liga, ''FNL''), currently known as Fortuna národní liga due to sponsorship reasons, is the second level professional association football league in the Czech Republic. Before 2013 it was known as 2. liga or Druhá liga. The top two teams each season are eligible for promotion to the Czech First League. The league replaced the I.ČNL (I. 2001–02 Czech Cup
The 2001–02 Czech Cup was the ninth season of the annual football knock-out tournament of the Czech Republic. Winners Slavia Prague qualified for the 2002–03 UEFA Cup.
