Mirko Alilović
Mirko Alilović (born 15 September 1985) is a Croatian handball goalkeeper for SC Pick Szeged. He won the silver medals both, on the World Championship (2009) and the European Championship (2008, 2010), and a bronze at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He was named the best athlete from Ljubuški, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2007. He was capped 4 times for Bosnia and Herzegovina men's national handball team. Ljubuški is a city and municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the West Herzegovina Canton, a unit of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 2012 European Men's Handball Championship
The 2012 EHF European Men's Handball Championship was the tenth edition of the men's continental handball tournament, which was held in Serbia between 15 and 29 January 2012. Sixteen teams qualified for the event, including host nation Serbia, defending champion France and fourteen national teams through the qualifying tournament. The teams were split into four groups of 4, with the top 3 teams of each group advancing to the main round, carrying the points won against other qualified opponents. Going to the main round with no points, Denmark men's national handball team, Denmark ended up winning the championship after defeating Serbia men's national handball team, Serbia in the final with a scoreline of 21–19. World Men's Handball Championship
The IHF Men's Handball World Championship has been organized indoor by the International Handball Federation since 1938. In the twenty-seven tournaments held, eleven nations have won the title. The Men's EHF Champions League is the most important club handball competition for men's teams in Europe and involves the leading teams from the top European nations. Magyar Kupa (English: Hungarian Cup) is the main domestic cup for Hungarian men's team handball clubs, which is organized and supervised by the Hungarian Handball Federation. The competition is held annually, starting in September and concluding in April. The teams play in a one-leg knockout system with a final four tournament in the end. The winner of the Hungarian cup get the right to participate in the next year's EHF Cup Winners' Cup, unless they secure a place in the EHF Champions League.
