Mirjana Joković ( sr-cyr, Мирјана Јоковић; born 24 November 1967) is a Serbian film and stage actress, best known for her role as Natalija Zovkov in Emir Kusturica's ''Underground'' (1995). Mirjana Marković
Mirjana "Mira" Marković ( sr-cyr, Мирјана "Мира" Марковић, ; 10 July 1942 – 14 April 2019) was a Serbian politician, academic and the wife of Yugoslav and Serbian president Slobodan Milošević. She was the leader of the far-left Yugoslav United Left (JUL) which governed in coalition with Milošević's Socialist Party of Serbia in the aftermath of the Bosnian War. She was reported to have huge influence over her husband and was increasingly seen as the power behind the throne. Among her opponents, she was known as The Red Witch and the Lady Macbeth of Belgrade. Marković was accused of abuse of office, inciting several associates to allocate a state-owned apartment for her grandson’s nanny in September 2000. She was indicted in December 2002 and fled Belgrade on 23 February 2003. Mirjana Gross (born Mirjam Gross; 22 May 1922 – 23 July 2012) was a notable Yugoslav-Croatian Jewish historian and writer. Life and career Gross was born in Zagreb to Jewish parents, Mavro and Ella Gross, on 22 May 1922. During World War II and the occupation of Yugoslavia, Gross and her parents hid out near Zagreb in the village of Drenje Brdovečko until 1943, when they were arrested by the Nazis. She and her mother were deported to the Ravensbrück concentration camp where they worked as forced laborers for Siemens & Halske AG producing bombs. Her father was deported to Buchenwald. Gross's father and other members of her family perished during the Holocaust; she and her mother, however, survived. After the war she became a renowned Yugoslavian history professor. Mirjana Isaković is a Serbian sculptor and ceramist. Personal life She was born in Serbia in 1936. She is married to Halil Tikvesa, a Bosnian painter and graphic designer with whom she has a daughter Lana Tikvesa. Education Isaković graduated from the Academy of Applied Arts of University of Arts in Belgrade in 1963, the same year she became a member of "The Applied Artists and Designers Association of Serbia" (ULUPUDS). Mirjana Marić (Serbian Cyrillic: Мирјана Марић ; born January 10, 1970, in New York City) is an American-born Serbian chess player who holds the FIDE title of Woman Grandmaster (WGM). She lives in Belgrade, capital of Serbia (former Yugoslavia), and has a dual Serbian and US citizenship. Marić was introduced to chess at the age of four, together with her 20-minutes-older twin sister Alisa Marić.
