Miriam O'Callaghan
Miriam O'Callaghan (born 6 January 1960) is an Irish television current affairs presenter with RTÉ. O'Callaghan has presented '' Prime Time'' since 1996, and her own summer talk show, ''Saturday Night with Miriam'', from 2005 onwards. In the summer of 2009, she began a radio show, '' Miriam Meets...'', since replaced by live show ''Sunday with Miriam''. She is also the first woman to present a full episode of '' The Late Late Show'', having done so amid a global pandemic when Ryan Tubridy was quarantined with (initially) suspected symptoms of the Covid-19 virus. Foxrock
Foxrock () is an affluent suburb of Dublin, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It is within the county of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, in the postal district of Dublin 18 and in the Roman Catholic parish of Foxrock. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a contagious disease caused by a virus, the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The first known case was identified in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. The disease quickly spread worldwide, resulting in the COVID-19 pandemic. Family Matters
''Family Matters'' is an American television sitcom that debuted on ABC on September 22, 1989, and ended on May 9, 1997. However it moved to CBS, where it was shown from September 19, 1997, to July 17, 1998. A spin-off of '' Perfect Strangers,'' the series revolves around the Winslow family, a middle class black family living in Chicago, Illinois. Midway through the first season, the show introduced the Winslows' nerdy neighbor Steve Urkel (Jaleel White), who was originally scripted to appear as a one-time character. ''Kilroy'' was a BBC One daytime chat show hosted by Robert Kilroy-Silk that began on 24 November 1986 and finished on 29 January 2004 after 17 years. The series was originally called ''Day to Day'' for the first two series, and renamed to ''Kilroy'' in September 1987. Controversy and cancellation The show was taken off the air in 2004 after Kilroy made allegedly racist remarks. Kilroy questioned what contribution Arabs have made to civilisation beyond oil. He stated other views that made matters worse. He ridiculed Scots, the Irish, the Iraqis, Black people, Pakistanis, the French and Germans. Eamonn Andrews
Eamonn Andrews, (19 December 1922 – 5 November 1987) was an Irish radio and television presenter, employed primarily in the United Kingdom from the 1950s to the 1980s. From 1960 to 1964 he chaired the Radio Éireann Authority (now the RTÉ Authority), which oversaw the introduction of a state television service in the Republic of Ireland. ''This Is Your Life'' is an American reality documentary series broadcast on NBC radio from 1948 to 1952, and on NBC television from 1952 to 1961. It was originally hosted by its creator and producer Ralph Edwards. In the program, the host surprised guests and then took them through a retrospective of their lives in front of an audience, including appearances by colleagues, friends, and family. Thames Television, commonly simplified to just Thames, was a franchise holder for a region of the British ITV television network serving London and surrounding areas from 30 July 1968 until the night of 31 December 1992. Thames Television broadcast from 9:25 Monday morning to 5:15 Friday afternoon (7:00 Friday night until 1982) at which time it would hand over to London Weekend Television (LWT).
