Mireya Agüero
Mireya Agüero or Mireya Agüero de Corrales is a Honduran politician who served as minister for foreign affairs from 2013 to 2014. Agüero has a law degree and a degree in international relations. She joined the civil service in 1981 and the foreign service in 1983. She rose through the ranks and was made a Minister for Foreign Affairs for Honduras in May 2013. Agüero was appointed by President Porfirio Lobo following a brief period as Vice Minister to replace Arturo Corrales who had been moved to Minister of Security. Porfirio Lobo
Porfirio Lobo Sosa (born 22 December 1947), known as Pepe Lobo, is a Honduran politician and agricultural landowner who served as President of Honduras from 2010 to 2014. A member of the conservative National Party and a former deputy in the National Congress of Honduras from 1990, he was president of the National Congress of Honduras from 2002 to 2006. He came second to Manuel Zelaya with 46% of the vote in the 2005 general election. After the military ousted Zelaya in a coup d'état, Lobo was elected president in the 2009 presidential election and took office on 27 January 2010. Arturo Gerardo Corrales Álvarez is a former Foreign Minister and Security Minister of Honduras. Juan Orlando Hernández Alvarado (; born 28 October 1968), also known as JOH, is a Honduran lawyer and politician who served as President of Honduras from 2014 to 2022. A member of the National Party, Hernández previously served as the president of the National Congress of Honduras between January 2010 and June 2013, when he was given permission by the Congress to absent himself from all responsibilities in the Congress to dedicate himself to his presidential campaign. Marïa Dolores Agüero Lara (born 1982) is a Honduran politician who served as acting Foreign Minister from 14 April 2016 and was officially appointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs on 27 March 2017 and served until 23 July 2019. Early life and education Agüero's father is the vice president of Banco Atlántida. She has a brother and a sister.
