Mircea Dobrescu
Mircea Dobrescu (5 September 1930 – 6 August 2015) was a flyweight boxer from Romania. He competed at the 1952, 1956 and 1960 Olympics and won a silver medal in 1956, losing to Terence Spinks on points.Mircea Dobrescu sports-reference.com He won two more silver medals at the European championships in 1955 and 1957. Constantin Nour
Constantin Nour (June 13, 1906 or June 15, 1907, Tiraspol - November 17, 1986) was a Romanian champion middleweight boxer and national team trainer. In 1926, he won the Romanian national championship in the middleweight category. John Caldwell (boxer)
John Caldwell (7 May 1938 in Belfast – 10 July 2009) was an Irish boxer who won the bronze medal in the flyweight (– 51 kg) division at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne. Caldwell was considered a supreme fighter whose class and skill saw him claim a medal in 1956 and the world bantamweight crown in 1961. He enjoyed a magnificent career as an amateur and professional in which he contested 275 bouts, winning on all but ten occasions. Flyweight is a weight class in combat sports. Boxing Flyweight is a class in boxing which includes fighters weighing above 49 kg (108 lb) and up to 51 kg (112 lb). Professional boxing The flyweight division was the last of boxing's eight traditional weight classes to be established. Before 1909, anyone below featherweight was considered a bantamweight, regardless of how small the boxer.
