Miranda!
Miranda! is an Argentine electropop band formed in 2001. Original band members include Alejandro Sergi (vocals), Juliana Gattas (vocals), Lolo Fuentes (guitar), Bruno de Vincenti (programming), and since 2003, Nicolás Grimaldi (bass). It is currently a duo between Sergi and Gattas. The group has found success throughout Latin America as well as in the United States and Europe. History In 2001, Alejandro Sergi teamed up with Juliana Gattas, Lolo Fuentes and Bruno de Vincenti to form Miranda!, labeling their style as ''melodramatic electropop''. Named after Argentinian actor Osvaldo Miranda, the group finally met the actor in December 2002 during the Buen Dia Arriba Festival in Palermo Viejo. Their popularity grew around the Buenos Aires underground music circuit, based on their peculiar music, style and looks. Julieta Venegas Percevault (; born November 24, 1970) is an American-born Mexican singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and producer who sings pop-rock-indie in Spanish. Osvaldo Miranda (actor)
Osvaldo Isaías Mathon Miranda (November 3, 1915 – April 20, 2011) was an Argentine film and television actor whose credits also included more than fifty stage productions. He was born in Villa Crespo neighbourhood, in Buenos Aires, to Spanish immigrants. Miranda began his career as a tango dancer. His film credits included '' Cita en las estrellas'' in 1949 and ''Los muchachos de antes no usaban gomina'' in 1969. Miranda also appeared in numerous television roles including '' Mi cuñado'', '' La nena'' and the long-running television series, '' Escala Musical''.
