The Miramar Open was a golf tournament on the Tour Argentino de Profesionales, formerly the principal professional golf tour in Argentina. Golf
Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. Professional golf tours are the means by which otherwise unconnected professional golf tournaments are organised into a regular schedule. There are separate tours for men and women; most are based in a specific geographical region, although some tours may hold tournaments in other parts of the world. Miramar, Buenos Aires Province
Miramar is an Argentine city located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in Buenos Aires Province, south of Buenos Aires. It is the administrative seat of General Alvarado Partido. The name “Miramar” comes from the words ''mira'' (view) and ''mar'' (sea). Florentino Molina
Florentino Molina (born 30 December 1938) is an Argentine professional golfer. Molina was born in Río Cuarto, Córdoba. He turned pro in 1960. He won the Argentine Open five times and the Argentine Professional Rankings four times. He played on the PGA Tour from 1975 to 1980 and the European Tour in 1981. He was second in French Open in 1970 and 4th in the B.C. Open in 1977. He was second in Argentine Open in 1962 and the Brazil Open in 1970. Molina played in the British Open five times (1970, 1971, 1974, 1978 and 1981), and once in the U.S. Open (1977), when he was one of seven players tied for the lead after the first round. In 2000, Molina was second in Miramar Grand Prix (TPG Tour) at the age of 61. Luis Carbonetti
Luis Guillermo Carbonetti (born 23 April 1953) is an Argentine professional golfer. He is the brother of golfer Horacio Carbonetti. Carbonetti was born in Río Cuarto, Córdoba. As an amateur, he played on five Eisenhower Trophy teams and won the individual title twice (1982 and 1984). He turned pro in 1984. Carbonetti won the Argentine Tour Order of Merit in 1985 and Cordoba Tour Order of Merit 2002. He also played on the European Tour in the 1980s and 1990s. His best finishes on tour were a pair of T-7 in 1989 at the Lancia Italian Open and Torras Monte Carlo Open. Carbonetti played on the U.S.-based Champions Tour in 2003 and is now a member of the European Seniors Tour and has three victories on this tour.
