Miracle In Bosnia
''Miracle in Bosnia'' ( Bosnian: ''Čudo u Bosni'') is a 1995 Bosnian documentary film directed by Dino Mustafić and Danis Tanović, written by Zlatko Topčić, produced by Edin Lonić and Smail Tokić. It won the Special Award at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival. Plot and theme A documentary film shot on the occasion of the third anniversary of Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Combining documentary materials with narrative, the film shows an evolution of the Bosnian Army, from small units, as it was at the beginning of the war, to military formations at the end of the third year of the war. Production The film was shot during the Bosnian War. Danis Tanović
Danis Tanović (born 20 February 1969) is a Bosnian film director and screenwriter. He is best known for having directed and written the script for the 2001 Bosnian movie '' No Man's Land'' which won him many awards, including an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and a Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Language Film among many others. Tanović has also written and directed the award-winning Bosnian films ''An Episode in the Life of an Iron Picker'' and ''Death in Sarajevo''. He is regarded as one of the best Bosnian directors and screenwriters of all time, and also one of the best from Southeast Europe. Tanović is the only person born in the territory of present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina to have won an Academy Award. International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam
The International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) is the world's largest documentary film festival held annually since 1988 in Amsterdam.
