Minye Kyawhtin Of Pakhan
Minye Kyawhtin ( my, မင်းရဲကျော်ထင်, ; also known as Tarabya II of Pakhan, ပုခန်း တရဖျား, ) was governor of Pakhan from 1413 to 1426. The youngest son of King Minkhaung I of Ava was a top pretender to the Ava throne during the succession crisis in 1425–1426, following the assassinations of his brother King Thihathu and nephew King Min Hla. Prince Tarabya of Pakhan initially ceded the throne to his half-cousin Prince Min Nyo of Kale in 1425 after Nyo gave him lavish gifts and Thihathu's favorite queen Shin Saw Pu. But he withdrew his support six months later when Nyo was about to be overthrown by Gov. Thado of Mohnyin. The prince refused to submit to Thado, who did not hail from the founding house of the dynasty. He could not attract any support from other vassals, and was easily defeated by the new king in 1426. Tarabya I Of Pakhan
Tarabya ( ota, Tarabiye, el, Θεραπειά, translit=Therapiá) is a neighbourhood in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul, Turkey. It is located on the European shoreline of the Bosphorus strait, between the neighbourhoods of Yeniköy and Kireçburnu. It is famous for its coastal fish restaurants. Geography Compared to other neighborhoods in Sarıyer, Tarabya has much more greenery and fresher air thanks to the northern winds coming from the sea. Minye Kyawhtin Of Toungoo
Minye Kyawhtin ( my, မင်းရဲ ကျော်ထင်, ; also known as Min-nge Kyawhtin (မင်းငယ် ကျော်ထင်), ; 1408–1459) was a pretender to the Ava throne from 1426 to 1459. The eldest son of Crown Prince Minye Kyawswa, Minye Kyawhtin raised a long-running rebellion against King Mohnyin Thado (r. 1426–1439) and his successors, kings Minye Kyawswa I (r. 1439–1442) and Narapati I of Ava (r. 1442–1468). Despite his claim to the throne, the prince found support only in one former vassal state, Onbaung (Hsipaw/Thibaw). Except for a brief period in 1427–1428, his rebellion never posed a real threat to Ava. He did hold on to Pinle, a well-fortified outpost at the edge of the Ava (Inwa) capital region, until the mid-1440s. Shan States
The Shan States (1885–1948) were a collection of minor Shan kingdoms called '' muang'' whose rulers bore the title ''saopha'' in British Burma. They were analogous to the princely states of British India. The term "Shan States" was first used during the British rule in Burma as a geopolitical designation for certain areas of Burma (officially, the Federated Shan States, which included the Karenni States, consisted of today's Shan State and Kayah State). In some cases, the Siamese Shan States was used to refer to Lan Na (northern Thailand) and Chinese Shan States to the Shan regions in southern Yunnan such as Xishuangbanna. Tarabya Of Ava
Tarabya ( my, တရဖျား, or ; 22 December 1368 – 25 November 1400) was king of Ava for about seven months in 1400. He was the heir apparent from 1385 to 1400 during his father King Swa Saw Ke's reign. He was a senior commander in Ava's first three campaigns (1385−91) against Hanthawaddy Pegu in the Forty Years' War. He was assassinated seven months into his rule by his one-time tutor, Gov. Thihapate of Tagaung. The court executed the usurper, and gave the throne to Tarabya's half-brother Min Swe. Shin Bo-Me ( my, ရှင်ဘို့မယ်, ; also spelled Shin Bo-Mai) was a principal queen of four kings of Ava in the early 15th century. Inwa
Inwa (, or ; also spelled Innwa; formerly known as Ava), located in Mandalay Region, Myanmar, is an ancient imperial capital of successive Burmese kingdoms from the 14th to 19th centuries. Throughout history, it was sacked and rebuilt numerous times. The capital city was finally abandoned after it was destroyed by a series of major earthquakes in March 1839. Forty Years' War
The Forty Years' War ( my, အနှစ်လေးဆယ်စစ်; 1385 – 1424; also Ava-Pegu War or the Mon-Burmese War) was a military war fought between the Burmese-speaking Kingdom of Ava and the Mon-speaking Kingdom of Hanthawaddy. The war was fought during two separate periods: 1385 to 1391, and 1401 to 1424, interrupted by two truces of 1391–1401 and 1403–1408. It was fought primarily in today's Lower Burma and also in Upper Burma, Shan State, and Rakhine State.
