Mint De Kiss Me
is a collection of 8 short stories in manga format ( tankōbon) written and illustrated by Yuu Watase in 1994, and subsequently distributed in Japan by Shogakukan in January 1995 as part of the Flower Comics collection. This tankōbon is made up of: Kiss Me With Mint, Genseika, Seal Of Flower, Yamato Nadeshiko Romance, Sand Tiara, Hatsuki Triangle, 700 Days of Blue, and Jewel in Heart respectively. Among these, Yuu Watase chose "Kiss Me With Mint" to be the main story of this collection. Plot Misono Kari, a high school student with a crush on her teacher, Toono, discovers a magic spell where two people's spirits will switch bodies if they eat a mint candy and then kiss. Misono tries to kiss Toono using the magic candy, but accidentally kisses Shindou, a boy who has been bothering her. Misono's spirit leaves her body and enters Shindou's body, and vice versa. Yuu Watase
is a Japanese manga artist. She debuted in 1989 at the age of 18 with the short story "Pajama de Ojama" (, "An Intrusion in Pajamas") and has since published more than 50 volumes of one-shots and long-running manga series. One of her most popular titles is ''Fushigi Yûgi''. In 1998, Watase won the 43rd Shogakukan Manga Award in the (girls') category for ''Ceres, Celestial Legend''. In 2008, she began her first (boys') serialization, '' Arata: The Legend''. In 2019, Watase came out as X-gender, a Japanese non-binary gender identity. Following the announcement, an editor for Viz Media's Shojo Beat imprint clarified that Watase's pronouns in English are "she" and "her". Shogakukan
is a Japanese publisher of dictionaries, literature, comics (manga), non-fiction, DVDs, and other media in Japan. Shogakukan founded Shueisha, which also founded Hakusensha. These are three separate companies, but are together called the Hitotsubashi Group, one of the largest publishing groups in Japan. Shōjo Manga
is an editorial category of Japanese comics targeting an audience of adolescent females and young adult women.
