Minor López
Minor Ignacio López Campollo (born 1 February 1987) is a Guatemalan footballer who currently plays for Comunicaciones B in the Primera División de Ascenso. He was also a member of the Guatemala national team, playing in the 2010 and 2014 World Cup qualifying campaigns. Club career A tall forward, López was born in Quetzaltenango, and began his professional career in 2007 at local club Xelajú MC, where he scored 14 goals in three seasons. In January 2011 he was acquired by Deportes Naval for that year's season. He made his debut in Chile on 12 March 2011, scoring to give the team a 1-1 draw against Puerto Montt. As the club attempted to earn promotion to the top division, López contributed with 12 goals scored during the 2011 season, including one during the promotion/relegation playoff which Naval lost to Santiago Wanderers. Club Deportes Puerto Montt is a Chilean football club based in the city of Puerto Montt, Los Lagos Region. Dwight Anthony Pezzarossi García (born 4 September 1979) is a Guatemalan former professional football forward and assistant manager for Liga Nacional club Antigua. On 18 September 2014, Pezzarossi was named Minister of Culture and Sports of Guatemala. Target man Pezzarossi, nicknamed ''El Tanque'' ("the Tank", due to his size), started his footballing career with Guatemalan lower division club Deportivo Escuintla. He spent one year there before signing for a club in the top Guatemalan league, Comunicaciones. 2009 UNCAF Nations Cup
The UNCAF Nations Cup 2009 was the tenth edition of the UNCAF Nations Cup, the biennial association football, football (soccer) tournament for the CONCACAF-affiliated national teams of Central America. The first five places qualified for the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The event was going to take place in Panama City, Panama between January 22 and February 1, 2009, but the FEPAFUT, Panamanian FA announced that they would not host the event due to not having an adequate stadium available for the time period of the tournament. The alternative hosts were Honduras and Guatemala. Honduras submitted an official replacement bid on November 12, and after some consideration it was moved to Honduras. The United States men's national soccer team (USMNT) represents the United States in men's international soccer competitions. Benjamín Eduardo ("''Mincho''") Monterroso Díaz (born January 1, 1952) is a Guatemalan football coach and former midfielder who spent the majority of his playing career at the local club Municipal, and is also a former player and current manager of the Guatemalan women's national team. Playing career Monterroso played for Municipal from 1970 to 1979, being part of the squad that won the IV CONCACAF Champions' Cup in 1974. He also played in the only Copa Interamericana final played by a Guatemalan team. After a 1–1 aggregate against Argentina's Independiente, Monterroso missed during the penalty shootout. Penalty Kick Shootout
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds.
