Minnesota Twins
The Minnesota Twins are an American professional baseball team based in Minneapolis. The Twins compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the American League (AL) Central Division. The team is named after the Twin Cities area which includes the two adjoining cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. The franchise was founded in Washington, D.C., in 1901 as the Washington Senators. The team moved to Minnesota and was renamed the Minnesota Twins for the start of the 1961 season. The Twins played in Metropolitan Stadium from 1961 to 1981 and in the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome from 1982 to 2009. The team played its inaugural game at Target Field on April 12, 2010. Joe Agler
Joseph Abram Agler (June 12, 1887 – April 26, 1971) was a professional baseball player. He played all or part of three seasons in Major League Baseball between 1912 and 1915. He played mostly as a first baseman, but also played substantially in the outfield. He made his major league debut for the Washington Senators at the end of the 1912 season. He returned to the majors with the Buffalo Buffeds in 1914, when he played in 135 games. He started the next season with Buffalo, but moved to the Baltimore Terrapins partway through the season. Bob Allison
William Robert Allison (July 11, 1934 – April 9, 1995) was an American professional baseball outfielder who played for the Washington Senators / Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball from to . Allison attended the University of Kansas for two years and was a star outfielder on the baseball team and fullback on the football team. In his Major League career, he hit 30 or more home runs three times and 20 or more in eight different seasons. Although he struck out often like many sluggers, reaching the century mark in strikeouts in five seasons, he received more than his share of walks and despite a mediocre career .255 batting average, Allison finished with a lifetime on-base percentage (OBP) of .358 and he finished in the top 10 in OBP in four seasons. John Chad Allen (born February 6, 1975) is an American former professional baseball left fielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Minnesota Twins, Cleveland Indians, Florida Marlins and Texas Rangers. Career Born in Dallas, Texas, his father was Jackie Allen, a cornerback in the National Football League. He attended Duncanville High School and played college baseball for Texas A&M University from 1994 to 1996. He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the fourth round of the 1996 Major League Baseball Draft. Allen also served as a member of the United States national baseball team in the 1996 Summer Olympics. Scott Aldred
Scott Phillip Aldred (born June 12, 1968) is an American former Major League Baseball pitcher and current minor league pitching coach. Early life Aldred was born in Flint, Michigan. He graduated in 1986 from Hill McCloy High School in Montrose, Michigan, a rural town just north of Flint. Playing career Aldred was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 16th round of the 1986 Major League Baseball Draft. In his first professional season, Aldred compiled an 8–7 record with a 3.57 ERA and 91 strikeouts in 110 innings with the Fayetteville Generals in 1987. Edward Wilbur Ainsmith (born as Edward Anshmedt; February 4, 1890 – September 6, 1981), nicknamed "Dorf," was a catcher in Major League Baseball (MLB). He played fifteen seasons with the Washington Senators (1910–1918), Detroit Tigers (1919–1921), St. Louis Cardinals (1921–1923), Brooklyn Robins (1923), and New York Giants (1924).
