Faribault, Minnesota
Faribault ( ) is a city in, and the county seat of, Rice County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 23,352 at the 2010 census. Faribault is approximately south of Minneapolis–Saint Paul. Interstate 35 and Minnesota State Highways 3, 21, and 60 are four of Faribault's main routes. Faribault is situated at the confluence of the Cannon and Straight Rivers in southern Minnesota. Minnesota State Highway 110
Minnesota State Highway 110 (MN 110) was a short connector state highway in Minnesota, which ran from an interchange with MN 55 in Mendota Heights to an interchange with Interstate 494 (I-494) in Inver Grove Heights, south of downtown Saint Paul. On October 23, 2017, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) announced that MN 110 would be renamed as an extension of MN 62. MnDOT said the change was necessary to prevent confusion to visitors and residents. MN 62 signs went up in August 2018, while MN 110 signs were labelled "Old Highway 110" for one year after the switch. Lyndale Avenue
Lyndale Avenue is a major street in the U.S. state of Minnesota that traverses the cities of Minneapolis, Brooklyn Center, Richfield, and Bloomington. A noncontiguous portion also exists in Faribault, part of Highway 21. There are several commercial districts along the street, including Lyn-Lake in South Minneapolis, Shops at Lyndale in Richfield, and the Oxboro area in Bloomington. Legislative Route (Minnesota)
In the U.S. state of Minnesota, a legislative route is a highway number defined by the Minnesota State Legislature. The routes from 1 to 70 are constitutional routes, defined as part of the Babcock Amendment to the Minnesota State Constitution, passed November 2, 1920. All of them were listed in the constitution until a 1974 rewrite. Though they are now listed separately in §161.114 of the Minnesota Statutes, the definitions are legally considered to be part of the constitution, and cannot be altered or removed without an amendment. Legislative routes with numbers greater than 70 can be added or deleted by the legislature. Until 1933 Constitutional Routes corresponded exactly to the number marked on the highways, but this is no longer necessarily the case. In fact, it is common for CR highways to be composed of several different trunk highways.
