Minnal Murali
''Minnal Murali'' () is a 2021 Indian Malayalam-language superhero film directed by Basil Joseph and produced by Sophia Paul, under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters. The screenplay has been written by Arun Anirudhan and Justin Mathew. The film stars Tovino Thomas and Guru Somasundaram. The story follows the life of Jaison, a young tailor who gains superpowers after being struck by lightning, and transforms into a superhero. The film was formally announced in January 2019, but due to the extensive pre-production works, the film's principal photography took place during December 2019. Though shooting got disrupted twice following the two waves of the COVID-19 pandemic and the vandalism of a church set by right-wing groups, the makers managed to complete the shoot within July 2021. Basil Joseph
Basil Joseph (born 28 April 1990) is an Indian film director and actor who works in the Malayalam film industry. He directed three films, ''Kunjiramayanam'' (2015), ''Godha'' (2017) and ''Minnal Murali'' (2021). All three films were a huge success both commercially and critically. Besides direction, Basil is also an actor and has acted in numerous films. He started his career as an assistant director of Vineeth Sreenivasan in the 2013 film ''Thira''. His acting debut was through the 2013 film '' Up & Down: Mukalil Oralundu'' directed by T.K. Rajeev Kumar. Shaan Rahman
Shaan Rahman (born 30 December 1979) is an Indian composer and singer, best known for his compositions in the Malayalam cinema. Shaan made his debut as a music director in the 2009 film '' Ee Pattanathil Bhootham'' directed by Johny Antony. He got the chance to work in the film after the wide acceptance and popularity of his 2008 music album "''Coffee at MG Road''" which he did along with his friend, singer, and director Vineeth Sreenivasan.
