The Ministry of National Assets of Chile (MBN) The Ministry of National Assets of Chile (MBN) is an institution in charge of recognizing and managing the fiscal patrimony or property. Likewise, other of its functions is regularating the small real estate and to control over the national assets of public use. Its current minister is Javiera Alejandra Toro Cáceres. History In 1871, under Federico Errázuriz Zañartu's government (1871−1876), it was created the ''Ministry of Foreign Relations and Colonization'' to order the occupation of the southern lands. When the inhabitants settled in the south of Chile, the State assumed a new role aimed at the administration of fiscal assets, the conservation of heritage and the exploitation of natural benefits. In 1888, preserving the same attributions, this ministry took the name of «Foreign Relations, Worship and Colonization». El Espectador
''El Espectador'' (meaning "The Spectator") is a newspaper with national circulation within Colombia, founded by Fidel Cano Gutiérrez on 22 March 1887 in Medellín and published since 1915 in Bogotá. It changed from a daily to a weekly edition in 2001, following a financial crisis, and became a daily again on 11 May 2008, a comeback which had been long rumoured, in tabloid format (28 x 39.5 cm). Federico Errázuriz Zañartu
Federico Marcos del Rosario Errázuriz Zañartu (; April 25, 1825 – July 20, 1877) was a Chilean political figure. He served as the president of Chile between 1871 and 1876. Biography He was born in Santiago in 1825, of Basque descent. He studied law in the University of Chile. He was made a deputy in parliament at an early age, and took some part in the parliamentary debates. In 1860 he was made chief of the province of Santiago, and introduced many reforms. In 1862, during Pérez's administration, he became secretary of justice and of public instruction; and in 1865, during the Chincha Islands War with Spain, he was secretary of war and the navy. In 1871 Errázuriz became president of the republic of Chile, and introduced liberal reforms of great importance to the country, tending toward the secularization of public instruction and freedom of worship. Malleco River is a river in Malleco Province, La Araucanía Region, central Chile. It rises in the western slopes of the Andes, within the Tolhuaca National Park and near Tolhuaca Volcano.
