Ministry Of International Cooperation (Myanmar)
The Ministry of International Cooperation is a ministry of Myanmar. It is one of the two foreign affairs ministries of Myanmar. The ministry is currently led by union minister Ko Ko Hlaing who is appointed by SAC Chairman Min Aung Hlaing. Formation Htun Htun Oo, Union Attorney General, posted a bill from the president to the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw for the formation of two new ministries on 20 November 2017. Attorney General said Myanmar is actively involved in international affairs. In doing so, the new Union Ministry was formed to cooperate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in international relations and to have a ministry that would be accountable to the President from a political and economic perspective on international affairs. The Office of the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar ( my, ပြည်ထောင်စုသမ္မတမြန်မာနိုင်ငံတော် နိုင်ငံတော်သမ္မတရုံး) is a ministry-level body that serves the President of Myanmar. Myint Swe ( my, မြင့်ဆွေ, ; born 24 May 1951) is a Burmese politician currently serving as Acting President of Myanmar as well as Vice-President of Myanmar, First Vice President. He previously served as the acting president after the resignation of President Htin Kyaw on 21 March 2018, and the chief minister of Yangon Region from 30 March 2011 to 30 March 2016. On 30 March 2016, he was sworn in as the vice president of Myanmar. He is an ethnic Mon people, Mon ex-military officer in the Myanmar Army with the rank of a lieutenant general. Win Myint (politician, Born 1951)
Win Myint ( ; born 8 November 1951) is a Burmese politician who served as the tenth president of Myanmar from 2018 to 2021. He was removed from office in the 2021 Burmese coup d'état. He was the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Myanmar from 2016 to 2018. He also served as a member of parliament in the House of Representatives (Pyithu Hluttaw) from 2012 to 2018. Win Myint was viewed as an important ally and placeholder for State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, who served as the actual head of government but was constitutionally barred from the presidency. Htin Kyaw ( my, ထင်ကျော်, or ; born 20 July 1946) is a Burmese politician, writer and scholar who served as the ninth president of Myanmar from 30 March 2016 to 21 March 2018. He was the first elected president to hold the office with no ties to the military since the 1962 coup d'état. The second son of scholar Min Thu Wun, Htin Kyaw had held various positions in the education, planning and treasury ministries in prior governments. Kyaw Tin ( my, ကျော်တင်; born 31 October 1955) is former union minister for International Cooperation of Myanmar. He also served as deputy minister of Foreign Affairs under Aung San Suu Kyi. The state counsellor of Myanmar ( my, နိုင်ငံတော်၏ အတိုင်ပင်ခံပုဂ္ဂိုလ်) was the title of the ''de facto'' head of government of Myanmar, equivalent to a prime minister. The office is currently vacant following the arrest of the first and only state counsellor, Aung San Suu Kyi, in the 2021 Myanmar coup d'état. The office was created in 2016 since the Constitution of Myanmar prohibits Suu Kyi from assuming the presidency.
