The Ministry of Development and Investment ( el, Υπουργείο Ανάπτυξης και Επενδύσεων) is a government department of Greece. The current minister is Adonis Georgiadis, Vice President of New Democracy. History The Ministry of the Economy, Competitiveness and Shipping (Υπουργείο Οικονομίας, Ανταγωνιστικότητας και Ναυτιλίας) was created on 7 October 2009 from the break-up of the unified Economy and Finance Ministry (Υπουργείο Οικονομίας και Οικονομικών), and the merger of what had constituted the old National Economy Ministry (Υπουργείο Εθνικής Οικονομίας) with the Ministry of Development (Υπουργείο Ανάπτυξης) and the Mercantile Marine Ministry (Υπουργείο Εμπορικής Ναυτιλίας). Konstantinos Mitsotakis
Konstantinos Mitsotakis ( el, Κωνσταντίνος Μητσοτάκης, ; – 29 May 2017) was a Greek politician who was 7th Prime Minister of Greece from 1990 to 1993. He graduated in law and economics from the University of Athens. His son, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, was elected as the Prime Minister of Greece following the 2019 Greek legislative election. Family and personal life Mitsotakis was born on 31 October 1918 in Halepa suburb, Chania, Crete, into an already powerful political family, linked to the distinguished statesman Eleftherios Venizelos on both sides. Konstantinos (Kostis) Hatzidakis ( el, Κωνσταντίνος (Κωστής) Χατζηδάκης; born 20 April 1965 in Rethymno) is a Greek politician of New Democracy who has been serving as the Minister for Labor and Social Affairs in the Cabinet of Kyriakos Mitsotakis since 2021. Yannis Stournaras
Yannis (or Giannis) Stournaras ( el, Γιάννης Στουρνάρας; born 10 December 1956) is a Greek economist who has been the Governor of the Bank of Greece since June 2014. Previously, he had been the Greek Minister of Finance from 5 July 2012 serving until 10 June 2014.
