The Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Social Services ( he, משרד העבודה, הרווחה והשירותים החברתיים, ''Misrad HaAvoda, HaRevaha VeHaSherutim HaHevrati'im'') is the branch of government charged with overseeing employment and ensuring the welfare of the public in Israel and oversee the supply of services. The Cabinet of Israel (officially: he, ממשלת ישראל ''Memshelet Yisrael'') exercises executive authority in the State of Israel. It consists of ministers who are chosen and led by the prime minister. The composition of the government must be approved by a vote of confidence in the Knesset (the Israeli parliament). Under Israeli law, the prime minister may dismiss members of the government, but must do so in writing, and new appointees must be approved by the Knesset. Shlomo Yosef Burg ( he, שלמה יוסף בורג, 31 January 1909 – 15 October 1999) was a German-born Israeli politician. In 1949, he was elected to the first Knesset, and served in many ministerial positions for the next 40 years. He was one of the founders of the National Religious Party. Biography Shlomo Yosef Burg was born in Dresden, Germany, on 31 January 1909. He attended the Hildesheimer Rabbinical Seminary in Berlin from 1928 to 1938, and was ordained as a rabbi that year. Moshe Katsav ( he, מֹשֶׁה קַצָּב; born 5 December 1945) is an Israeli former politician who was the List of Presidents of Israel, eighth President of Israel from 2000 to 2007. Aharon Uzan ( he, אהרן אוזן, 1 November 1924 – 23 January 2007) was an Israeli politician who held several ministerial portfolios between the mid-1960s and mid-1980s. Biography Uzan was born in Moknine in Tunisia, and was a member of the right-wing Betar movement in his youth. After attending college in Sousse and subsequently moving to France, he made aliyah to Israel in 1949, where he underwent agricultural training and joined the left-wing Mapai party. Biography

Aharon Abuhatzira was born in the Tafilalt region of French Protectorate in Morocco, Morocco and made aliyah to Israel in 1949. He studied the Bnei Akiva yeshiva in Kfar Haroeh, graduated from a Teachers' Seminary in Jerusalem and earned a BA from Bar-Ilan University.
