Minister Of Legislative Assembly
A member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) is a representative elected by the voters of a constituency to a legislative assembly. Most often, the term refers to a subnational assembly such as that of a state, province, or territory of a country. Still, in a few instances, it refers to a national legislature. Australia Members of the Legislative Assembly use the suffix Member of parliament, MP instead of MLA in the states of New South Wales Legislative Assembly, New South Wales and Legislative Assembly of Queensland, Queensland. Members of the Legislative Assemblies of Western Australian Legislative Assembly, Western Australia, Northern Territory Legislative Assembly, Northern Territory, Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly, Australian Capital Territory, and Norfolk Island Legislative Assembly, Norfolk Island are known as MLAs. An electoral district, also known as an election district, legislative district, voting district, constituency, riding, ward, division, or (election) precinct is a subdivision of a larger State (polity), state (a country, administrative region, or other polity) created to provide its population with representation in the larger state's legislative body.
