Minister For Regional Health (New South Wales)
The Minister for Regional Health is a minister in the New South Wales Government with responsibility for hospitals and health services in regional New South Wales, Australia. In the second Perrottet ministry since December 2021 it is one of four portfolios in the health sector working with the Minister for Health, Brad Hazzard. The current minister Bronnie Taylor also holds the portfolio of mental health. The fourth portfolio, regional youth is currently held by Ben Franklin. Together they administer the health portfolio through the Health cluster, including the Ministry of Health and a range of other government agencies, including local health districts and the NSW Ambulance service. Taylor has stated that her role was created to fix issues in NSW regional hospitals that had been identified by a parliamentary inquiry. Bronnie Taylor
Bronwyn Taylor (known as Bronnie Taylor), an Australian politician, is the New South Wales Minister for Women, the Minister for Regional Health, and the Minister for Mental Health in the Perrottet ministry, since December 2021. Taylor has served as the Deputy Leader of the National Party in New South Wales since October 2021. Ben Franklin (Australian Politician)
Benjamin Cameron Franklin (born 1972/1973) is an Australian politician. He served as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council from March 2015 until March 2019, representing the National Party. He resigned in 2019 to contest the Legislative Assembly seat of Ballina, but was defeated by the incumbent Greens MP Tamara Smith. He was subsequently appointed in May 2019 to fill the casual vacancy caused by his own resignation. Sam Farraway
Samuel Jacob Farraway (born 1986) is an Australian politician. Farraway has served as the Minister for Regional Transport and Roads in the Perrottet ministry since December 2021. He has been a National member of the New South Wales Legislative Council since 17 October 2019, when he filled a casual vacancy caused by the resignation of Niall Blair. Paul Lawrence Toole (born 2 August 1970), an Australian politician, is the Deputy Premier and leader of the New South Wales Nationals since October 2021. Regional Minister (New South Wales)
In New South Wales, regional ministers have been appointed since 1995 on a part-time basis as part of the Government of New South Wales. Each minister has other departmental responsibilities, as well as specific responsibilities for one of the regions of New South Wales. The ministries with regional responsibilities first appeared in 2000 during the Carr Labor Government with a position looking after the Central Coast, this would later be expanded by the Iemma Labor Government from 2005 and O'Farrell Coalition Government in 2011 to five different positions including Western Sydney.
