MiniMetro
MiniMetro is a family of cable propelled automated people mover systems built by HTI Group. The vehicles either run on rails or an air cushion and have either a detachable grip (to the cable) or a fixed grip. Leitner has a test track for the vehicles in Vipiteno. The current maximum capacity of the system is around 8,000 passengers per hour. The latest system installed with the MiniMetro brand was the Miami International Airport eTrain in 2016. Perugia People Mover In Perugia, a stretch with seven stations opened in February 2008 to relieve the inner city of car traffic. It consists of more than 25 vehicles of 5 m each, with a capacity of 25 passengers and a speed of up to per hour. The interval between successive vehicles is around 1.5 minutes. In 2013, the system carried 10,000 passengers per day. Plans exist for a second line. Similar systems are under consideration in Bolzano and Copenhagen. A people mover or automated people mover (APM) is a type of small scale automated guideway transit system. The term is generally used only to describe systems serving relatively small areas such as airports, downtown districts or theme parks. The term was originally applied to three different systems, developed roughly at the same time. One was Skybus, an automated mass transit system prototyped by the Westinghouse Electric Corporation beginning in 1964. The second, alternately called the People Mover and Minirail, opened in Montreal at Expo 67. MIA E Train
The MIA e Train is one of three automated people mover systems operating at Miami International Airport (along with the Skytrain and the MIA Mover). The MIA e Train connects the satellite building of Concourse E (which contains gates E20-E33) with the rest of Concourse E (Gates E2-E11) which is connected to the main terminal. The system opened in 2016 replacing an earlier system and was built at a cost of $87 million. SATUOeiras (Sistema Automático de Transporte Urbano de Oeiras), also known simply as SATU, was a elevated automated people mover that operated in Oeiras, Portugal from 2004 to 2015. The line connected Paço de Arcos with Oeiras Parque Shopping Center and consisted of 3 stations and 2 cars. Discussions to possibly reopen and expand the line have been ongoing since 2017. Cable Liner
The Cable Liner is a range of automated people mover products designed by Doppelmayr Cable Car for use at airports, in city centers, intermodal passenger transport connections, park and ride facilities, campuses, resorts and amusement parks. The design superseded the maglev transport system at Birmingham Airport which was, at the time, the world’s only commercial maglev system.
