Mine Guri
Mine Guri is an Albanian politician who served as deputy chair of the Presidium of the People's Assembly. She was a lathe worker before involving in politics. In 1961 she joined the ruling party of the Communist Albania, Albanian Workers' Party. She became its first secretary in Kuçovë and Berat and a member of People's Assembly in 1970 and served there until 1990. She was made a member of the central committee of the ruling party, Albanian Workers' Party, in November 1976. She was appointed deputy chair of the Presidium of the People's Assembly in November 1982 under the presidency of Ramiz Alia. She also held the post in the last communist government formed in September 1990. The other deputy chair in the same government was Xhafer Spahiu Xhafer Spahiu (June 5, 1923 – May 19, 1999) was a former Albanian politician of the Albanian Party of Labour (PPSh). The Parliament of Albania ( sq, Kuvendi i Shqipërisë) or Kuvendi is the unicameral representative body of the citizens of the Republic of Albania; it is Albania's legislature. The Party of Labour of Albania ( sq, Partia e Punës e Shqipërisë, PPSh), sometimes referred to as the Albanian Workers' Party (AWP), was the ruling and sole legal party of Albania during the communist period (1945–1991). Kuçovë ( sq-definite, Kuçova) is a municipality in south-central Albania. It was formed at the 2015 local government reform by the merger of the former municipalities Kozare, Kuçovë, Lumas and Perondi, which all became municipal units. Berat (; sq-definite, Berati) is the ninth most populous city of Albania and the seat of Berat County and Berat Municipality. Ramiz Alia
Ramiz Tafë Alia (; 18 October 1925 – 7 October 2011) was an Albanian politician serving as the second and last leader of the People's Socialist Republic of Albania from 1985 to 1991, serving as First Secretary of the Party of Labour of Albania. He was also the country's head of state from 1982 to 1992. He had been seen as a successor by Enver Hoxha and took power after Hoxha died. Xhafer Spahiu
Xhafer Spahiu (June 5, 1923 – May 19, 1999) was a former Albanian politician of the Albanian Party of Labour (PPSh). He was the only Kosovar Albanian of the higher ranks of the Communist Albania leadership after 1948. Life Spahiu was born in Gjakova, Kosova, at that time part of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. He was one of the many communist Kosovo Albanians who came from the same town, such as Emin Duraku, Fadil Hoxha, Sadik Stavaleci, Elham Nimani, etc. During World War II he was part of the guerrilla movement in Albania in charge of the information and communications to the public. As such in 1944 he was arrested and sent to the Nazi concentration camp in Prishtina, Kosova. After his release, he went to Tirana, Albania.
