Mindy Jostyn
Mindy Jostyn (June 5, 1956 – March 10, 2005) was an American singer and multi-instrumentalist. Jostyn was born in Long Island City and grew up in San Jose, California and Wellesley, Massachusetts. When she was eleven years old she founded her first band, The Tigers. Her musical focal points were folk, rock and pop. She played violin, guitar and harp, among other instruments. Before embarking on her solo career she was much sought-after by international artists such as Joe Jackson, Billy Joel, The Hooters, Cyndi Lauper, Jon Bon Jovi and Shania Twain. Jostyn was married to Jacob Brackman, an American journalist, author and lyricist. She died of cancer in March 2005 in Hudson, New York. Long Island City (LIC) is a residential and commercial neighborhood on the extreme western tip of Queens, a borough in New York City. Background Speaking to ''Songwriting Magazine'' in 2013, Waite said of the album: "''When You Were Mine'' was the best album I ever did. ''Out of Body'' is the fifth studio album by American rock band the Hooters, released in May 1993 by MCA Records. Background ''Out of Body'' marked a series of ''firsts'' for the Hooters. It was their first album for MCA Records after having released their three previous albums on Columbia Records. It was the first time they had worked with producer Joe Hardy, whose credits included ZZ Top, Steve Earle and Tom Cochrane. Also, the Hooters had become a six-piece band for the first time, after the addition of violinist and singer Mindy Jostyn. Donald Fagen
Donald Jay Fagen (born January 10, 1948) is an American musician best known as the co-founder, lead singer, co-songwriter, and keyboardist of the band Steely Dan, formed in the early 1970s with musical partner Walter Becker. In addition to his work with Steely Dan, Fagen has released four solo albums. He began his solo career in 1982 with the album ''The Nightfly'', which was nominated for seven Grammy Awards. In 2001, Fagen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Steely Dan. Following Becker's death in 2017, Fagen has continued to tour as the only original member of Steely Dan. Arlen Roth (born October 30, 1952) is an American guitarist, teacher, and author. From 1982 to 1992, he was a columnist for ''Guitar Player'' magazine. Those ten years of columns became a book, ''Hot Guitar''. His father Al Ross (Abraham Roth) was a cartoonist for The New Yorker Magazine and many other publications over a 75-year career.
