Mind Games
Playing mind games (also power games or head games) is the largely conscious struggle for psychological one-upmanship, often employing passive–aggressive behavior to specifically demoralize or dis-empower the thinking subject, making the aggressor look superior. It also describes the unconscious games played by people engaged in ulterior transactions of which they are not fully aware, and which transactional analysis considers to form a central element of social life all over the world. The first known use of the term "mind game" dates from 1963, and "head game" from 1977. Mind Game (film)
is a 2004 Japanese animated experimental feature film based on Robin Nishi's manga of the same name. It was planned, produced and primarily animated by Studio 4°C and adapted and directed by Masaaki Yuasa in his directorial debut, with chief animation direction and model sheets by Yūichirō Sueyoshi, art direction by Tōru Hishiyama and groundwork and further animation direction by Masahiko Kubo. It is unusual among features other than anthology films in using a series of disparate visual styles to tell one continuous story. As Yuasa commented in a '' Japan Times'' interview, "Instead of telling it serious and straight, I went for a look that was a bit wild and patchy. "Mind Games" is the 28th single by Zard and released April 7, 1999 under B-Gram Records. This is the significant song for Zard starting to step out of pop rock and Soft rock, and began to integrate electronic dance music and R&B elements into pop rock music, and the media commented that the quality of this song was far less than that of Zard at the peak, and the new music style was very stiff and lacking sincerity. ''Mind Games'' is the fourth studio album by English musician John Lennon. It was recorded at Record Plant Studios in New York in summer 1973. The album was released in the US on 29 October 1973 and in the UK on 16 November 1973. It was Lennon's first self-produced recording without help from Phil Spector. Like his previous album, the politically topical and somewhat abrasive ''Some Time in New York City'', ''Mind Games'' received mixed reviews upon release. It reached number 13 in the UK and number 9 in the US, where it was certified gold. The album was recorded while Lennon was having difficulties with US immigration and at the beginning of his 18-month separation from Yoko Ono. The title track was released as a single at the same time as the album. The album itself was later reissued several times throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Mindgames is a progressive rock band from Belgium. The band was founded in 1997 by Eric Vandormael (bass) and Bart Schram (vocals). After placing a few ads in music magazines they recruited Benny Petak (drums, percussion) and Tom Truyers (piano, keyboards). In 1999 as a four-piece they recorded a demo, featuring the songs ''Mental Argue'', ''Signs From The Sky'', and ''Dreamin' The Circus''. In 2000 Rudy Van Der Veken (guitars) joined, so completing the line-up of the band. The end of 2002 saw the release of their debut CD ''International Daylight'', an album that shows the strong influences on the band of Yes, Jethro Tull, Genesis and Frank Zappa. Later on ''International Daylight'' came to be distributed by the French label Musea Records. Thanks to this, the band received wider exposure and garnered favourable reviews internationally. The third season of the police procedural drama '' NCIS'' was originally broadcast between September 20, 2005, and May 16, 2006, on CBS. The third season opens in the aftermath of "Twilight", with the entire team in shock and Gibbs on a vendetta to seek revenge for Kate's murder.
