Children's Television Series
Children's television series (or children's television shows) are television programs designed for children, normally scheduled for broadcast during the morning and afternoon when children are awake. They can sometimes run during the early evening, allowing younger children to watch them after school. The purpose of these shows is mainly to entertain or educate. The children's series are in four categories: those aimed at infants and toddlers, those aimed at those aged 6 to 11 years old, those for adolescents and those aimed at all children. History Children's television is nearly as old as television itself. The BBC's ''Children's Hour'', broadcast in the UK in 1946, is generally credited with being the first TV programme specifically for children. Mimmi (book Series)
The Mimmi series ( sv, Mimmiserien) is a children's books series written by Viveca Lärn (earlier Viveca Sundvall). The main character is Mimmi, a girl in late Kindergarten, later early primary school, age. The books are told from the me-perspective, many of them as diaries. The books were originally published between 1979 and 1996. Mimmi lives with her family in Kungälv. Her father Oskar is a postman while her mother Elin is a waitress Waiting staff (British English), waitstaff (North American English), waiters (male) / waitresses (female), or servers (North American English), are those who work at a restaurant, a diner, or a bar and sometimes in private homes, attending ... at restaurant "Gyllene Svanen". Birgitta Maria Cecilia Nilsson (born 15 July 1957) is a Swedish actress. She has appeared at many theatres. She is married to Krister Henriksson. Nilsson started acting in theatre aged six at '' Vår teater'' at Medborgarplatsen in Stockholm. As a student she attended the Adolf Fredrik's Music School in Stockholm. Waldemar Bergendahl (18 April 1933 – 21 March 2022) was a Swedish film director, film editor, film producer, cinematographer and screenwriter. Bergendahl is best known as the producer behind the films based on novels by Astrid Lindgren. Life and career Bergendahl was born in April 1933 in Årsunda. He grew up on a farm between Årsunda and Hammarby, Gävleborg, Gästrike-Hammarby. His parents were farmers with cows, horses, chickens, pigs and many other animals. Bergendahl later went to University in Gävle. Then he moved to Stockholm. In 1957 Bergendahl lived along with the production manager of Europafilm in an apartment in Stockholm. The production manager told Bergendahl to apply for a job at the film company. SVT1 (SVT Ett; commonly referred to as Ettan) is the primary television station of the Swedish public service broadcaster Sveriges Television in Sweden. History Television in Sweden officially launched on 4 September 1956 with the launch of ''Radiotjänst TV'', which was renamed ''Sveriges Radio TV'' a year later.
