Mimi Kristine Berdal (born 15 June 1959) is a Norwegian lawyer and businessperson. A lawyer by profession, she graduated as cand.jur. ( Candidate of Law) from the University of Oslo in 1987. She was a research assistant from 1985 to 1986, worked for Total from 1989 and as a lawyer from 1990. She chaired the board of directors of Stabæk Fotball from 2005 to 2009, became chair of Rec in 2013, has chaired Rocksource and Infratek, and is a member of the board of Itera, Synnøve Finden, Q-Free and Gassco and a former member of the board of Norsk Rikstoto The Norsk Rikstoto (lit. Candidate of Law (Latin: ''candidatus/candidata juris/iuris'') is both a graduate law degree awarded to law students in the Nordic region as well as an academic status designation for advanced Law School students in German-speaking countries. Gassco is a Norwegian state owned company that operates of natural gas pipes transporting annually of 100 billion cubic meter (bcm) of natural gas from the Norwegian continental shelf to Continental Europe and Great Britain. 15% of the total consumption of natural gas in Continental Europe is distributed through Gassco. Øvrevoll Galoppbane
Øvrevoll Galoppbane is the only gallop racecourse in Norway It is located at Øvrevoll between Østerås (west), Jar (south) and Eiksmarka (north) in Bærum. It has both a turf track and an all-weather track. It was officially opened in 1932 by King Haakon VII and Queen Maud. The biggest event of the year is the Derby Day, one Sunday at the end of August every year. Øvrevoll Galoppbane has a grandstand with a restaurant, as well as the Stallkroen Restaurant on the north side of the track. Sherryhaugen Café has a good view of the paddock. In the late 1980s there were plans to build a hotel and a shopping mall near the circuit, to generate more traffic at the racecourse. This was rejected by local authorities. There were talks about moving the entire racecourse to rural Lier in protest, but this did not happen, partly because Norsk Rikstoto did not have finances to back it up. The Norsk Rikstoto (lit. 'Norwegian National Tote') is a foundation that supervises parimutuel betting on animal racing in Norway. It was established on 24 September 1982 by the Norwegian Trotting Association and the Norwegian Jockey Club to run a tote board, totalizator game named V6. Norsk Tipping administered most such games until 1993, when Norsk Rikstoto took over. In 1996 the foundation received responsibility, financial and administrative, for all such games. It also runs the television channel Rikstoto Direkte. Animal racing in Norway is limited to Horse racing, equine racing; there are eleven tracks for harness racing and one track, Øvrevoll Galoppbane, for Horse gait#Gallop, gallop. Synnøve Finden is a Norwegian dairy company that produces cheese, butter and juice with farms in Alvdal and Namsos. The company launched its yellow cheese on 21 September 1996 and brown cheese in 1997. The company was listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. Synnøve Finden is today the only Norwegian challenger to Tine in the Norwegian cheese market.
