Milton Reyes
Milton Alexánder Reyes Galeas (born 2 May 1974 in Arenal, Yoro, Honduras) is a retired Honduran football player, who played for primarily F.C. Motagua. Club career Nicknamed ''Jocón'', Reyes began playing professional football as a central defender with Yoro FC of the Honduran second division in 1993. He moved to then newly promoted Independiente Villela, for whom he made his debut in the Honduran National League on 24 September 1995 against Vida. He subsequently moved to Motagua, one of Honduras's most prestigious clubs, where he would play from 1997–2002, helping the club to five championships. Major League Soccer In 2002, he moved to Major League Soccer, where he signed a contract with D.C. United. Reyes immediately impressed with his offensive forays from the right back position, and ended the season with 24 starts and two assists to his credit. Atlético Olanchano was a Honduran football club based in Catacamas, Olancho. The club last played in the Honduran second division. History Campamento Atlético Olanchano was founded as ''Campamento'' in 1974 and originally played their games in Campamento, Olancho. The team later moved to Catacamas and so the name was remodified to ''Juventud Catacamas''. Atlético Olanchano On July 17, 2001, the team was bought by some business men and they decided to change the name to ''Atletico Olanchano''. The UNCAF Club Tournament was an annual international football competition held in the UNCAF region (Central America). The competition was open to the leading domestic club teams in the region. The winners of each national league qualified automatically. It also provided qualification places for the CONCACAF Champions' Cup, to which the top three teams advanced. Starting in 2008, all of the Central American nations have one or two teams qualifying directly to the expanded CONCACAF Champions League, thus this tournament ceased to be played. The tournament had been known as the ''Copa Fraternidad Centroamericana'' from 1971 to 1983. It was discontinued between 1983 and 1996, when it was revived as the ''Torneo Grandes de Centroamerica''. The 2001 Copa América was held in Colombia, from 11 to 29 July. It was organised by CONMEBOL, South America's football governing body. Colombia won the tournament for the 1st time without conceding a goal. 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup
The 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup was the fifth edition of the Gold Cup, the soccer championship of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF), and the 15th overall CONCACAF tournament. It was held in Los Angeles, Miami, and San Diego in the United States. The format of the tournament changed from 1998; it was expanded to twelve teams, split into four groups of three. The top two teams in each group would advance to the quarter-finals. Peru and Colombia were invited from CONMEBOL, and the Republic of Korea were invited from AFC. With all three games in Group D ending in ties and Canada tied with the Republic of Korea on every tiebreaker, a coin toss was used. Canada won and advanced to the quarter-finals. FIFA World Cup Qualification
The FIFA World Cup qualification is a competitive match that a national association football team takes in order to qualify for one of the available berths at the final tournament of the (men's) FIFA World Cup. Qualifying tournaments are held within the six FIFA continental zones, each organized by their respective confederations: AFC (Asia), CAF (Africa), CONCACAF (North and Central America and the Caribbean), CONMEBOL (South America), OFC (Oceania), and UEFA (Europe).
