Millie Turner
Millie Turner (born 7 July 1996) is an English footballer who plays as a defender for Women's Super League club Manchester United. She has previously played for Everton and Bristol City, and has been capped by England at youth level. Club career Early career Millie grew up in Wilmslow with older brother Bruce and younger brother Jake, now a professional goalkeeper with Gillingham. At the age of 10 she began playing with Stockport County before moving to Manchester City and then Crewe Alexandra's highly regarded youth setup. When Crewe's Centre of Excellence folded she drew offers from both Merseyside giants Liverpool and Everton but turned them down in favour of Manchester United. Everton Turner joined Everton midway through the 2013 season and linked up with the development squad. Wilmslow ( ) is a market town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East in Cheshire, England, south of Manchester city centre. The population was 24,497 at the 2011 Census. History Toponymy Wilmslow derives its name from Old English ''Wīghelmes hlāw'' = "mound of a man called Wīghelm." Lindow Man Much about the local Iron Age history of Wilmslow was uncovered with the discovery of Lindow Man, in Lindow Moss. Preserved in the peat bogs for 2,000 years, Lindow Man is one of the most important Iron Age finds in the country. 2014 FA WSL
The 2014 FA WSL was the fourth season of the FA WSL, the top-level women's football league of England. The season began on 30 March and ended on 12 October. Liverpool L.F.C. are the defending champions from the 2013 FA WSL. The top two teams qualify for the 2015–16 UEFA Women's Champions League. Beginning in the 2014 season, the WSL added a second division, the WSL 2. Because the divisions are interconnected, WSL 1 teams face the risk of relegation for the first time in the league's history. There is, however, no connection to the third level Women's Premier League, so WSL 2 teams cannot be relegated. WSL 1 consists of eight teams while the WSL 2 is made up of ten. Starting places in both divisions were granted based on applications sent in by clubs, so Manchester City were able to enter its newly created women's team directly into the WSL 1. Willie Kirk (born 7 June 1978) is a Scottish football manager and former player who is currently the manager of FA WSL club Leicester City. The Women's Championship (formerly The FA Women's Championship) is the second-highest division of women's football in England. The division was established in 2014 as the FA Women's Super League 2 (WSL 2). WSL 2 replaced the previous level 2 division, the FA Women's Premier League National Division, FA Women's Premier League (WPL) National Division, which ended after the 2012–13 FA Women's Premier League, 2012–13 season. 2017–18 FA WSL
The 2017–18 FA WSL was the seventh edition of the FA WSL since it was formed in 2010. It was the first season of WSL which ran as a winter league. It started in September 2017 and ended in May 2018, with ten teams competing in both leagues. The Football Association removed promotion and relegation between the two tiers for the end of the season. The league was instead restructured, with clubs required to apply for licenses under new criteria for the top tier in the 2018–19 season. Stadium MK is a football ground in the Denbigh district of Bletchley in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England. Designed by Populous and opened in 2007, it is the home ground of EFL League One side Milton Keynes Dons and FA Women's National League South side Milton Keynes Dons Women.
