''Jungle Jam and Friends: The Radio Show!'', or simply ''Jungle Jam'', is a children's radio show with Evangelical Christian themes and humor. The show was created by Jeff Parker and is owned by Fancy Monkey Studios, Inc. (formerly Woolly Mammoth Entertainment). It features voices, writing, and sound editing by Nathan Carlson, Phil Lollar, David Buller, and many others. These people have also been involved in other well-known radio projects, including ''Adventures in Odyssey''. History The program first aired in 1993 and within two years it had been aired on over 800 radio stations. Cassettes of the broadcast were available from Word Entertainment until the year 2000. At that point, the show was taken over by Fancy Monkey Studios, Inc., who sell CDs and downloads of the broadcasts. Phil Lollar
Phil Lollar (born August 6, 1959) is an American voice actor, director, producer and writer for the Focus on the Family-created radio drama, ''Adventures in Odyssey''. He is credited as being one of the show's creators. He also provided the voice for one of characters from the show, Dale Jacobs. He also worked on the '' Jungle Jam and Friends: The Radio Show!'', the ''Little Dogs on the Prairie'' videos and Big Idea's ''3-2-1 Penguins!'' series. He is currently a script supervisor for ''Paws and Tales'' and is developing a project called ''Iliad House''. Career Phil started his performing career at the age of five. He won numerous acting awards in high school, and studied music, screenwriting and directing in college. Phil then worked with Focus on the Family, co-creating the ''Adventures in Odyssey'' series and writing more than 250 episodes. ''Adventures in Odyssey'' (AIO), or simply ''Odyssey'', is an Evangelical Christian radio drama and comedy series created and produced by Focus on the Family. Aimed at families with children age 12 and younger, the series first aired in 1987 as a 13-episode pilot called ''Family Portraits'' and has over 947 episodes to date. Steven Paul "Buddy" Miller (born September 6, 1952) is an American singer, songwriter, musician, recording artist and producer, currently living in Nashville, Tennessee. Miller is married to and has recorded with singer-songwriter Julie Miller. Early life and music career Buddy was born in Fairborn, Ohio, near Dayton, and his family ended up settling in Princeton, New Jersey. His grandfather gave him the nickname "Buddy." During the late 1970s he was in a country-rock band called the Desperate Men, which played in the NNJ and New York area, including clubs like Stanhope House, Cuss From Hoe and others. In 1975, he moved to Austin, Texas and played rockabilly music in Ray Campi's band. He auditioned for and played in a band with Julie Griffin (soon to be his second wife). Julie Anne Miller (born Julie Griffin, July 12, 1956) is a songwriter, singer, and recording artist living in Nashville, Tennessee. She married Buddy Miller in 1981. They sing and play on each other's solo projects and have recorded three duet albums. Career Recordings Julie Miller's first professionally released recording was with the group ''Streetlight'' which consisted of Julie, Buddy Miller, and Ron Krueger. The self-titled album was released in 1983. Julie and Buddy wrote some songs for the LP, including the original version of "Jesus in Your Eyes" (later re-recorded for ''Orphans and Angels''). ''3-2-1 Penguins!'' is an American sci-fi computer-animated Christian children's television series, initially launched on November 14, 2000 as a direct-to-video episode by Big Idea Entertainment with videos released between 2000 and 2003.
