The Military Band Service of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus ( be, Ваенна-аркестравая служба Узброеных Сіл Рэспублікі Беларусь, russian: Военно-оркестровая служба Вооруженных Сил Республики Беларусь) is the central military band service of the Armed Forces of Belarus. The band was formed on 1 April 1950 as the Band of the Belorussian Military District. It was expanded into a service in the 1990s after the Independence of Belarus occurred. Its bands participate in military parades, military tattoos, and official ceremonies of Belarus. They perform domestically, regularly performing in the Central Officers House in Minsk, as well as other garrison clubs. The massed bands of the Minsk Garrison is an annual participant in the parades of the Minsk Garrison on Victors Avenue since 2004. The national flag of Belarus is a red-and-green flag with a white-and-red ornament pattern placed at the hoist (staff) end. The current design was introduced in 2012 by the State Committee for Standardisation of the Republic of Belarus, and is adapted from a design approved in a May 1995 referendum. 103rd Guards Airborne Division
The 103rd Separate Guards Airborne Brigade is an airborne brigade of the Belarusian Special Forces. Its predecessor unit was the 103rd Guards Airborne Division (russian: 103-я гвардейская воздушно-десантная ордена Ленина Краснознаменная ордена Кутузова дивизия имени 60-летия СССР), which was a division of the Soviet Airborne Troops. It was established in 1946 and disbanded in 1993, a year after its transfer to the Armed Forces of Belarus. The Minsk Suvorov Military School (MnSVU) ( be, Мінск Сувораўскае ваеннае вучылішча; russian: Минское суворовское военное училище) is one of the Suvorov Military Schools in Belarus and in other former Soviet Republics for military cadets. The MnSVU is a state specialised educational institution that focuses on military subjects and trains students for universities and further military or civil service. Sergey Nikolaevich Kostiuchenko (Russian:Сергей Николаевич Костюченко) is a Belarusian military conductor. He is the former Chief Director of the Military Band Service of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, holding this post from 2008-2019. At 11 in the band service was the second longest serving director of the bands after Alexander Fedorov who served for 14 years. Early life and career He was born on December 17, 1965. At the age of six he began to learn to play the accordion and wind instruments. In 1981, Kostiuchenko was enrolled in the Moscow Military Music College. After graduating with honors in 1985, he entered the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. In 1990, he was appointed the chief conductor for the massed bands of the Belarusian Military District. Honor Guard Of The Armed Forces Of Belarus
The Honor Guard Company of the Minsk Military Commandant (; ) is an honor guard unit of the Armed Forces of Belarus. Brief descriptor The company was formed on 22 January 1995 as a unit from the Minsk Air Defense and Rocket School and the Minsk Higher Military Command School. To become a member of the honor guard of Belarus, one should be at least and have strong health features. It was later made into an independent unit on 17 February. It is one of the youngest units of its kind in the Commonwealth of Independent States. Daily training in the company lasts at least 6 hours. The company is made up of 144 military men, all of whom takes part in ceremonies in celebrations in Belarus and other countries, such as China, France, Poland, Qatar, Russia, the United Arab Emirates and Venezuela. The Spasskaya Tower ( rus, Спасская башня, Spasskaya Bashnya), translated as 'Saviour Tower', is the main tower on the eastern wall of the Moscow Kremlin which overlooks Red Square. Initially, it was named the Frolovskaya Tower after the Church of Frol and Lavr in the Kremlin, which is no longer there.
