''Mili'' is a 2015 Malayalam drama film directed by Rajesh Pillai. Described as a "heroine-centric motivational film," ''Mili'' has Amala Paul in the title role along with Nivin Pauly as male lead. The film, produced by Dr. Avinash Unnithan and Sathish B. Sathish under Ordinary Films, marks the debut of editor Mahesh Narayanan as scriptwriter. Anishlal R S handles the cinematography. The story revolves around an introvert girl who struggles hard to meet others' expectations. Shamna Kasim, Sanusha, Praveena, Sai Kumar and Amol Parashar appear in significant roles. Rajesh Raman Pillai (07 October 1974 – 27 February 2016) was an Indian film director best known for his work in the Malayalam cinema. He is credited with setting a new trend in Malayalam cinema with his thriller, ''Traffic (2011 film), Traffic'' (2011). Rajesh Pillai made his directorial debut with ''Hridayathil Sookshikkan'' (2005) which turned out to be a commercial and critical failure.
