Milesexperience (stylized as MilesExperience and sometimes shortened as Msex) is a Filipino rock band from Manila, Philippines. Formed in 2011, the band consists of Jose Thomas “Miles” Bondoc on vocals and guitars, Ian Lorenzo Diaz on bass, Justin Teaño on guitars, Guido Hizon on Keyboards and Timothy Dadivas (Odulio) on drums. History Formation (2011 - 2015) The band was formed within the halls of the University of Santo Tomas - Conservatory of Music. The members were enrolled on different programs and was originally made up of four members: Miles Bondoc on vocals and guitar, Tim Dadivas (Odulio) on drums, Jonnel Pallasigui on bass, and Justin Teaño on guitar. The band started out as a blues rock outfit and played gigs around the metro. A year later, Guido Hizon joined the group to play the Keyboard. Myx Music Awards 2017
Myx Music Awards 2017 was the 12th installment of the Myx Music Awards, acknowledging the biggest hit makers of 2016 in the Philippine music industry. For the sixth consecutive year, fans could vote online through the Myx website. Nominees were announced on February 2, 2017 starting at 5pm via Facebook Live streaming. Leading the nominees was Elmo Magalona with seven nominations. The awards night was held on March 16, 2017 at Kia Theater, Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City at 8:00PM ( PST). It was telecast live on Myx channel on cable and via live streaming on their website, via Facebook live and YouTube live streaming. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". The University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music, popularly known as "UST Music", is the music school of the University of Santo Tomas, the oldest and the largest Catholic university in Manila, Philippines. Proclaimed as one of the only two universities to be a Center of Excellence in Music, the college has maintained its efforts and achievements to be a premiere music school. It is the only music school in the Philippines which has an all-student symphony orchestra and an all-student symphonic band. ''Wolfblood'' is a fantasy teen drama television series targeted at a young audience. Created by Debbie Moon, it is a co-production between CBBC and ZDF/ZDFE. The television series revolves around the life of the species known as wolfbloods. They are creatures that have enhanced senses and look like humans but can turn into wolves at will — reminiscent of werewolves — but can also control their transformation during the day as well. Awit Award
The Awit Awards are music awards in the Philippines given annually by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI) to recognize the outstanding achievements in the music industry. The word "Awit" means "song" literally in Filipino. The first awards were given in 1969 at a ceremony in Makati. After three awards ceremonies were held, the Awit Awards were discontinued in 1972. In 1988, PARI brought back the awards and today, the organization still handles these awards.
