Milena Gabanelli
Milena Gabanelli (born 9 June 1954 in Nibbiano) is an Italian journalist and television host, better known in Italy for the investigative journalism Television program ''Report''. The program is currently broadcast by the Italian public TV channel Rai 3. In 2013 Gabanelli declined a nomination as candidate in the 2013 election for the Italian Presidency, which had been proposed by Beppe Grillo's ''Five Star'' party. Milena Gabanelli left RAI on November 15, 2017. She currently collaborates with Corriere della Sera and the private TV station La7 La7 is an Italian free-to-air television channel owned by Cairo Communication. ''Report'' is an independent investigative journalistic TV program in Italy, aired on Rai 3, a channel of the Italian national network RAI for the first time in 1997. The first season were transmitted late in the night, but its increasing success made it possible to move it to prime time. It was inspired by a similar program, ''Professione Reporter'' (Profession: Reporter), aired from 1994 to 1996. Each episode is structured to touch a different topic: criminal schemes, nutrition, health, science, economy, society or environment. The author and anchorwoman was, since the beginnig, the freelance journalist Milena Gabanelli. The other journalists and episode editors are: Giovanna Boursier, Michele Buono, Giovanna Corsetti, Giorgio Fornoni, Sabrina Giannini, Bernardo Iovene, Paolo Mondani, Piero Riccardi e Stefania Rimini. Rai 3 (formerly Rete 3) is an Italian free-to-air television channel owned and operated by state-owned public broadcaster RAI – Radiotelevisione italiana. The 2013 Italian presidential election was held in Italy on 18–20 April 2013. The result was the re-election of Giorgio Napolitano, the first time a president had been elected for a second term. Only members of Parliament and regional delegates were entitled to vote, most of these electors having been elected in the 2013 general election. Giuseppe Piero "Beppe" Grillo (; born 21 July 1948) is an Italian comedian, actor, blogger, and politician. He has been involved in politics since 2009 as the co-founder (together with Gianroberto Casaleggio) of the Italian Five Star Movement political party. Grillo became one of the most prominent examples of the populist surge which arose in Europe during the 2010s. Early life and career Grillo was born in Genoa, Liguria, on 21 July 1948. The Five Star Movement ( it, Movimento 5 Stelle , M5S) is a political party in Italy. Its leader and president is Giuseppe Conte, Prime Minister of Italy from 2018 until 2021. The M5S was founded on 4 October 2009 by Beppe Grillo, a comedian and blogger, and Gianroberto Casaleggio, a web strategist.
