Mildred Feinberg
Mildred Feinberg (June 1899 – June 1990) was an American artist known for her etchings and paintings. Biography Born in New York City, Mildred studied at Parsons School of Design, 1917, and graduated from the School of Fine and Applied Arts at the Pratt Institute of Fine Arts in 1920. Mildred and Minna had a design business, ''Twins Advertising Art Service, NYC,'' on Madison Avenue from 1923 to 1974. Art exhibitions with her sister took place in The Townhouse Gallery, Woodstock, NY, in 1952 and at the Charles Barzansky Galleries, NYC, in 1957. An artist is a person engaged in an activity related to creating art, practicing the arts, or demonstrating an art. The common usage in both everyday speech and academic discourse refers to a practitioner in the visual arts only. Lillian Cotton Impey (1892–1962) was an American painter. Early life and education Lillian Cotton was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1892. She received training in both the United States and Europe studying at the Boston Art Museum School. From 1915, she studied at the Art Students League of New York under Robert Henri for two years, then studied under André Lhote in Paris. Career Cotton held her first exhibition in 1918 with the Society of Independent Artists. Over the next forty years she held various exhibitions across Paris and the United States, with the majority occurring in New York City.
