Milan Stepanov
Milan Stepanov (Serbian Cyrillic: Милан Степанов; born 2 April 1983) is a former Serbian footballer who played as a central defender. Club career Born in Kisač, Novi Sad, Serbia, Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia, Stepanov came up through Vojvodina's ranks, making his first-team debut during the 2000–01 season and becoming team captain five years later. In the 2006 January transfer window, he transferred to Turkish club Trabzonspor. In July 2007, Stepanov moved to Porto in Portugal for a reported €3.5 million. Initially on the substitutes bench he gradually made room for himself in the starting eleven but, on 28 November, in a UEFA Champions League match at Liverpool, his team lost 1–4, with him having a subpar performance and subsequently losing the starting place to veteran Pedro Emanuel; this situation was aggravated in his second year with the signing of Rolando (he would only play in the penultimate Primeira Liga game). Kisač
Kisač ( sr-cyr, Кисач; Slovak: Kysáč) is a suburban settlement of the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. The settlement has a Slovak ethnic majority. Name In Serbian and Croatian the village is known as ''Kisač'' (Кисач); in Slovak as ''Kysáč''; in Czech as ''Kysáč''; and in Hungarian as ''Kiszács''. History The village was firstly mentioned in 1457. In this time it was under administration of the medieval Kingdom of Hungary and was part of the Bács (Bač) county. In the 16th-17th century, it was under administration of the Ottoman Empire and was part of the Sanjak of Segedin, firstly within the Budin Eyalet and later within the Egir Eyalet. During this time it was populated by ethnic Serbs. The Primeira Liga (; English: Premier League, also written as Liga Portugal 1), also known as Liga Portugal Bwin for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of the Portuguese football league system. Rolando Jorge Pires da Fonseca (born 31 August 1985), known simply as Rolando, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a central defender. He played 222 Primeira Liga games for Belenenses, Porto and Braga, winning several honours including the league, Taça de Portugal and Europa League treble with the second club in 2011. Abroad, he played on loan in Serie A for Napoli and Inter Milan, and spent four years in France with Marseille. Pedro Emanuel dos Santos Martins Silva (born 11 February 1975), known as Pedro Emanuel, is a Portuguese retired footballer who played mainly as a central defender, currently manager of Saudi Arabian club Khaleej FC. In his 16-year professional career he was closely associated with the two biggest teams in Porto, Boavista – he helped it win its first and only Primeira Liga title in 2001 – and FC Porto, being team captain of both. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender).
