Milan Obradović
Milan Obradović ( sr-Cyrl, Милан Обрадовић, ; born 3 August 1977) is a Serbian football manager and former professional player who played as a defender. Club career Obradović made his senior debut with Radnički Beograd in the mid-1990s, before moving to Obilić in the 1998–99 season. While playing for the Knights, Obradović established himself as one of the best defenders in the league. In the summer of 2001, Obradović was transferred to Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow. Obradović played seven seasons for Ukrainian club Metalist Kharkiv from 2006 to 2013, spending the last six months of his contract on loan at Arsenal Kyiv. On 23 July 2013, Obradović signed a one-year contract with Partizan. On 27 July 2014, Obradović signed with OFK Beograd. The 2000–01 First League of FR Yugoslavia was the ninth season of the FR Yugoslavia's top-level football league since its establishment. It was contested by 18 teams, and Red Star Belgrade won the championship. Incidents Eternal derby abandoned The 115th edition of the Eternal derby match between Red Star Belgrade and FK Partizan on Saturday, 14 October 2000 at the Marakana was abandoned after three minutes of play due to fan rioting. The incident began with Partizan fans, Grobari, pelting the pitch with flares at which point the match play got interrupted. The rioting kept escalating with the southern stand seating being torn off by the Grobari and thrown onto the athletic track. The 1999–2000 First League of FR Yugoslavia was the eighth season of the FR Yugoslavia's top-level football league since its establishment. It was contested by 21 teams, and Red Star Belgrade won the championship. Incidents The season was marred by a tragic event on 30 October 1999, during the Partizan vs. Red Star tie (113th edition of the Večiti derbi) when seventeen-year-old Red Star fan Aleksandar "Aca" Radović from Opovo was killed by a signalling rocket fired from within the stadium. Radović, a third-year student at the First Belgrade Gymnasium, was supporting his team from the Partizan Stadium's north end when in 20th minute of the match he got hit in the chest by a flare gun-fired signaling rocket from the opposite end of the stadium, which is where Partizan fans were located. Serbia National Football Team
The Serbia national football team ( sr, Фудбалска репрезентација Србије, Fudbalska reprezentacija Srbije) represents Serbia in men's international football competition. It is controlled by the Football Association of Serbia, the governing body for football in Serbia. After the breakup of SFR Yugoslavia and its football team in 1992 Serbia was represented (alongside Montenegro) within the new FR Yugoslavia national football team. Despite qualifying for Euro 92 the team was banned from participating in the tournament due to international sanctions, with the ruling also enforced for World Cup 94 and Euro 96 qualifiers. Fudbalski klub Spartak Ždrepčeva Krv () is a professional football club from Subotica, Serbia, that plays in the Serbian SuperLiga. The club was founded in 1945 and was named after Jovan Mikić Spartak, the leader of the Partisans in Subotica, who was a national hero and was killed in 1944. Milovan Đorić (Serbian Cyrillic: Милован Ђорић; born 6 August 1945) is a Serbian football manager and former player. He is often referred to by his nickname Bata Đora. Đorić last coached in 2011 when he was head coach of the Serbia U17 national team. He resigned after public outrage at Serbia bowing out in the group stage of that year's under-17 championship. 2000 UEFA European Under-21 Championship
The 2000 UEFA European Under-21 Championship was the 12th staging of UEFA's European Under-21 Championship. The final tournament was hosted by Slovakia from 27 May to 4 June 2000. The tournament had 47 entrants. Northern Ireland competed for the first time. For the first time a finals tournament with two groups of four teams was held, with one of those teams, Slovakia, having been chosen as the hosts. The top four teams in this competition qualified for the 2000 Summer Olympics.
