Miklós Lendvai
Miklós Lendvai (7 April 1975 – 20 February 2023) was a Hungarian professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. Playing career Lendvai played for several Nemzeti Bajnokság I clubs such as Zalaegerszegi, Ferencváros, and Győri ETO FC. He also played for the French side Bordeaux and the Swiss side FC Lugano. He spent several years in Belgium playing for K.F.C. Verbroedering Geel, K.F.C. Germinal Beerschot and R. Charleroi S.C. He also played in Cyprus for Aris Limassol. Finally, he returned to Hungary and played for clubs in lower divisions. Managerial career Lendvai managed Andráshida SC, Zalaegerszegi TE, and Hévíz FC. In 2014, he was appointed as the manager of Zalaegerszeg, after the resignation of Emil Lőrincz. On 5 April 2015, he criticized heavily his own players after losing a Nemzeti Bajnokság II match against Siófok. Zalaegerszeg
Zalaegerszeg (; hr, Jegersek; sl, Jageršek; german: Egersee) is the administrative center of Zala County, Zala county in western Hungary. Location Zalaegerszeg lies on the banks of the Zala River, close to the Slovenian and Austrian borders and west-southwest of Budapest by road. History The area was already inhabited in the Upper Paleolithic, according to archaeological findings (the oldest ones in Zala county). Later, the area was inhabited by Celts. The first written mentions of the town are as ''Egerscug'' (1247) and ''Egerszeg'' (1293); the name means "alder-tree corner" and is probably a reference to the town's situation in the angle where two rivers meet. NB II, currently known as the Merkantil Bank Liga for sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of Hungarian football. At the end of the 2004–05 season, the tournament format was changed from one division of 14 teams to two divisions: ''Keleti'' (Eastern) and ''Nyugati'' (Western), each with 16 teams. In 2013 the format was changed and there is one division again with 16 teams, and then 20 teams from 2015. The champion and the runner-up will ascend to the first division while the two lowest teams in NB II are relegated to NB III. The 2022–23 Nemzeti Bajnokság I (also known as 2022–23 OTP Bank Liga), also known as NB I, is the 124th season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league was officially named ''OTP Bank Liga'' for sponsorship reasons. Ferencváros were the defending champions. As the 2022 FIFA World Cup started on 20 November, the last round before stoppage was held on 12–13 November. The league resumed games on 28 January. Fehérvár Football Club (commonly known as ''Fehérvár'', ''Vidi'', or ''MOL Fehérvár Football Club'' for sponsorship reasons), is a Hungarian professional football club based in Székesfehérvár, which plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the top level of the Hungarian league system. Ricardo Moniz (born 17 June 1964) is a Dutch professional football manager and former player who is the head coach of Hungarian Nemzeti Bajnokság I club Zalaegerszeg. Career He played for RKC Waalwijk, HFC Haarlem, Helmond Sport and FC Eindhoven.
