Rebellion (band)
Rebellion is a German Heavy metal music, heavy metal band. It was formed in 2001 when guitarist Uwe Lulis left Grave Digger (band), Grave Digger in 2000, taking ex-Grave Digger bassist Tomi Göttlich with him. Band history The band's first album was a concept album about William Shakespeare's work ''Macbeth'', and included spoken passages with members of the band and other people as the story's characters. The second album involved more standard heavy metal lyrics—about motorcycles, metal, war, etc.—and the music was somewhat rougher. In 2005, the band released the first part of what is intended to be a trilogy about the Vikings and Norse mythology. In the beginning of 2007, they released their second part in the trilogy about the Vikings. It was titled ''Miklagard'' and was the band's most successful album so far. Ulfberht
The Ulfberht swords are a group of about 170 medieval swords found primarily in Northern Europe, dated to the 9th to 11th centuries, with blades inlaid with the inscription ''+VLFBERH+T or +VLFBERHT+''. The word "Ulfberht" is a Frankish personal name, possibly indicating the origin of the blades. Description The swords are at the transitional point between the Viking sword and the high medieval knightly sword. Most have blades of Oakeshott type X. They are also the starting point of the much more varied high medieval tradition of blade inscriptions. The reverse sides of the blades are inlaid with a geometric pattern, usually a braid pattern between vertical strokes. Uwe Lulis
Uwe Lulis (born 6 December 1965) is a German guitarist. He is the key member and producer of heavy metal band Rebellion since 2000 and is currently one of three guitarists of German band Accept. He also played guitar in Grave Digger for about 13 years, and co-wrote many songs during his time in the band. Lulis is a known producer and owns his studio Black Solaris Studios. He has produced other bands like Wizard, Paragon, Montany etc. When Lulis left Grave Digger, he formed his band Rebellion together with ex-bassist of Grave Digger, Tomi Göttlich. Alongside two other members, Lulis left Rebellion in 2010. In October 2008, Lulis broke his right leg in a motorcycle crash. Because of this, his band Rebellion used only one guitarist on their planned gigs. On 4 December 2014, Lulis joined Accept as a replacement for guitarist Herman Frank. History Morgana Lefay independently released their first album, ''Symphony of the Damned'', in 1990. The success of the album allowed the band to tour and eventually landed them with Black Mark Records. In 1997, Morgana Lefay disbanded. Persson, Heder and Söderlind kept the name.
