Mikko Paatelainen
Mikko Paatelainen (born 27 November 1980) is a Finnish former professional footballer who played as a striker. His father is retired footballer and manager Matti Paatelainen. Career Paatelainen began his career with FC Haka, moving on to AC Allianssi and FC KooTeePee before joining Scottish side Aberdeen in July 2004. After 10 months at Pittodrie, he returned to Finland without making any first team appearances for the Dons, joining Veikkausliiga side FF Jaro. In August 2005 he scored 5 goals in one game for Jaro, against his former club FC KooTeePee. In January 2006, Paatelainen joined Scottish side Cowdenbeath on loan, teaming up with his brothers Mixu (then manager) and Markus. He scored 7 goals in 9 games for Cowdenbeath who would be promoted as champions of the Scottish Third Division at the end of the season. Valkeakoski (; lit. "white rapids") is a town and municipality in Finland. It is located south of Tampere, north of Hämeenlinna and north of Helsinki in the Pirkanmaa region. Markus Paatelainen
Markus Paatelainen (born 23 January 1983) is a retired Finnish football midfielder, who last played alongside his brother Mikko for IFK Mariehamn. He has represented Finland at under-21 level. Career Paatelainen joined Aberdeen in January 2005, but was released at the end of the season without breaking into the first team. He joined Cowdenbeath, managed by his elder brother, Mixu, in September 2005 and quickly settled in as a first team regular. In February 2006 he suffered a serious injury away to Elgin City which almost resulted in him losing his right leg after a delay in getting him to hospital. However, after two months out he returned to the side in a 2–2 draw with Queens Park and the helped Cowdenbeath to promotion as champions of the Scottish Third Division after a 2–1 win over Elgin City. Veikkausliiga (; sv, Tipsligan) is the premier division of Finnish football, the highest tier of the Finnish football league structure, comprising the top 12 clubs of the country. Its main sponsor is the Finnish national betting agency Veikkaus, hence the league's name.
