Mikkel Aagaard
Mikkel Aagaard (born 18 October 1995) is a Danish professional ice hockey forward who is currently playing with MoDo Hockey of the HockeyAllsvenskan (Allsv). Playing career Undrafted, Aagaard played in his native Denmark with Frederikshavn White Hawks before moving to North America to play major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League with the Niagara IceDogs and the Sudbury Wolves. On October 5, 2016, he embarked on his North American pro career in signing with the Stockton Heat of the AHL for the 2016–17 season. Aagaard split the season between the Heat and its ECHL affiliate, the Adirondack Thunder. He compiled 11 points in 25 games with the Heat before appearing in 4 post-season games with the club. As a free agent from the Heat, Aagaard opted to continue in the AHL after securing a try-out to attend the Springfield Thunderbirds training camp. Frederikshavn
Frederikshavn () is a Danish town in Frederikshavn municipality, Region Nordjylland, on the northeast coast of the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark. Its name translates to "Frederik's harbor". Manchester Monarchs (ECHL)
The Manchester Monarchs were a professional ice hockey team in the ECHL which began play in the 2015–16 season. Based in Manchester, New Hampshire, and affiliated with the National Hockey League's Los Angeles Kings, the team played its home games at the SNHU Arena. The Monarchs replaced the American Hockey League team of the same name, which played from 2001 until 2015, after which they moved to Ontario, California, and became the Ontario Reign. After four seasons in the ECHL, the Monarchs ceased operations when the organization failed to find new ownership. Assist (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal. There can be a maximum of two assists per goal. The assists will be awarded in the order of play, with the last player to pass the puck to the goal scorer getting the primary assist and the player who passed it to the primary assister getting the secondary assist. Players who gain an assist will get one point added to their player statistics. Goal (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). Typically, a player on the team attempting to score shoots the puck with their stick towards the goal net opening, and a player on the opposing team called a goaltender tries to block the shot to prevent a goal from being scored against their team. Modo Hockey
Modo Hockey (or MoDo with uppercase letters) is a professional ice hockey club in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. The team plays in Sweden's second-tier league HockeyAllsvenskan. The club was founded in 1987 and has won one SHL championships; in 2007. The team's home arena since 2006 is the Hägglunds Arena (previously known as ''Fjällräven Center'' and ''Swedbank Arena''). The Deutsche Eishockey Liga (for sponsorship reasons called "PENNY Deutsche Eishockey Liga") (; English: ''German Ice Hockey League'') or DEL, is a German professional ice hockey league and the highest division in German ice hockey.
