Miki Higashino
is a Japanese video game composer best known for her works in the '' Suikoden'' series. Biography Miki Higashino first began composing video game music as a student employed by Konami and contributed to various minor products, often uncredited or under the alias MIKI-CHAN or MIKI-CHANG. Her substantial early works include the ''Gradius'' soundtrack in collaboration with the Konami Kukeiha Club in 1985. Higashino has since been involved in over a dozen projects and compilations. Aside from being the primary composer for the original '' Suikoden'' soundtrack, she also worked on the '' Suikoden II'' soundtrack, a 105 track effort which she composed in its entirety save 7 songs by Keiko Fukami and 1 song by Tappy Iwase. In 2001 Higashino left Konami on maternity leave but later collaborated with videogame composer Yasunori Mitsuda in 2005 on the '' Tsukiyo ni Saraba (Moonlit Shadow)'' soundtrack. Salamander (video Game)
, retitled in North America and in the Japanese arcade re-release, is a scrolling shooter arcade game by Konami. Released in 1986 as a spin-off of ''Gradius'', ''Salamander'' introduced a simplified power-up system, two-player cooperative gameplay and both horizontally and vertically scrolling stages. Some of these later became normal for future ''Gradius'' games. ''Salamander'' was followed with a sequel in 1996 titled ''Salamander 2''. Gameplay The first player controls Vic Viper and the second player takes the reins of debuting spacecraft Lord British, which is sometimes referred to as "Road British" due to the ambiguity of Japanese-to-English romanization. Vandal Hearts
Vandal Hearts, known in Japan as is a turn-based tactical role-playing video game developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo for the PlayStation and later ported to the Sega Saturn by Konami Computer Entertainment Nagoya. The PlayStation version was distributed in Japan, North America, and Europe. The Saturn version was only released in Japan. There was also a Microsoft Windows version which was released only in Japan and South Korea, with Software renderer and Direct3D Support. The game spawned a sequel, '' Vandal Hearts II'', also for the PlayStation. A prequel, '' Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment'' was created for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. Akira Yamaoka
is a Japanese composer and music producer. He is best known for composing music for several video games in the ''Silent Hill'' series by Konami, among other games. Yamaoka also worked as a producer on the series, as well as composing for the ''Silent Hill'' film and its sequel. Since 2010, he has been the sound director at Grasshopper Manufacture. Early life Yamaoka attended Tokyo Art College, where he studied product design and interior design. He originally planned to follow a career in design. Tappi Iwase
, sometimes credited professionally as TAPPY, is a Japanese musical composer. He is best known for his contributions to the ''Metal Gear'' and '' Suikoden'' franchises. Iwase studied music with Dick Grove at the Grove School of Music prior to its closure in 1991. Iwase is credited with composing all of the music for Metal Gear Solid, with the exception of the ending theme "The Best Is Yet to Come", whereas the music for the cinematic scenes was composed by Gigi Meroni.
